The 2027 Skoda Epiq 55 joins the brand's electric range as its smallest and most affordable battery-powered model.

What is confirmed is the broader formula: a compact electric SUV crossover using the new MEB+ architecture, front-wheel drive and a claimed maximum range of 440 km. It also introduces Skoda's Modern Solid design language in full production form.

Tech Deck Face Introduces A New Look

The Epiq's exterior is deliberately clean rather than heavily decorated. A glossy black Tech-Deck Face dominates the front, accompanied by a new T-shaped lighting signature that Skoda says will appear on future SUV models. Aerodynamic detailing contributes to a drag coefficient of 0.275.

Compact exterior dimensions are a central part of the package, although the supplied press kit does not provide overall length, width or wheelbase figures.

Compact Footprint Hides A 475 Liter Boot

Skoda has concentrated much of the Epiq's packaging work on usable interior space. The rear luggage compartment holds 475 liters, while a 25-liter frunk provides additional storage. The latter will become available later in production.

Towing capacity reaches 1,200 kg, an unusual practical detail for a small electric crossover. Full one-pedal driving is available in B mode, with selectable regenerative braking intensity.

13 Inch Display Anchors The Cabin

Inside, the Modern Solid theme translates into a straightforward layout using durable materials and physical, intuitive controls. Connectivity is built around an Android-based infotainment system displayed on a 13-inch central screen, with online services and access to an app store.

The MySkoda app can remotely access vehicle information, charging functions and selected comfort settings. Seven airbags are standard, along with Front Assist, Side Assist, Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.

MEB Plus Brings Three Power Variants

DC charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 23 minutes, while 11 kW AC charging is standard. Bidirectional charging is also supported, allowing stored battery energy to supply external loads or, where infrastructure permits, a household.

As Skoda's entry-level EV, the Epiq is positioned below the Elroq and Enyaq. In many markets, its base version is intended to achieve price parity with the combustion-powered Kamiq.
