The 2027 Skoda Epiq First Edition will sit at the top of the new Epiq launch range, adding its own design treatment and extra standard equipment to Skoda's smallest electric SUV.
It is a limited version based on the Selection trim and, importantly, comes only with the most powerful drivetrain offered in the Epiq. Skoda has not provided the First Edition's exact motor output in this introductory press kit.
Modern Solid Design Reaches Production
The Epiq is the first production Skoda to fully adopt the company's Modern Solid design language. Its exterior is deliberately clean, with the glossy black Tech Deck Face becoming one of the defining elements up front. A new T shaped light signature is another key feature and is expected to appear on future Skoda SUVs.
Aerodynamic details help achieve a drag coefficient of 0.275. The First Edition is distinguished by version specific exterior elements, although the supplied material does not describe those changes individually.
Its most obvious confirmed visual difference is a set of 20 inch wheels.
Compact Footprint Hides a 475 Litre Boot
Skoda positions the Epiq as a city SUV crossover, combining compact exterior dimensions with considerably more emphasis on interior space. The luggage compartment holds 475 litres, while a 25 litre front luggage compartment is planned for later in production.
Practicality extends beyond luggage. The Epiq can tow a trailer weighing up to 1,200 kg, an unusually useful figure for a small electric crossover.
13 Inch Display Anchors the Cabin
Inside, the Modern Solid theme is translated into a straightforward layout with durable materials and physical controls integrated alongside the digital interface.
A 13 inch centre display runs Android based infotainment, including online services, personalisation features and an app store. The MySkoda app provides remote access to vehicle information, charging management and selected comfort functions.
The First Edition receives its own interior design elements, but their colours, materials and finishes have not been detailed in this source.
MEB Plus Brings Front Wheel Drive
Underneath, the Epiq introduces the MEB+ architecture to Skoda. Unlike the rear driven Enyaq and Elroq layouts, the Epiq uses front wheel drive. Two traction battery sizes and three power variants will be offered across the range.
Range reaches up to 440 km depending on configuration. DC charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 23 minutes, while 11 kW AC charging is standard. Bidirectional charging and full one pedal driving in B mode are also supported.
Skoda calls the Epiq its most affordable electric model, with the base version achieving price parity with the combustion engined Kamiq in many markets. The First Edition takes a different role: a limited launch specification pairing the strongest available drivetrain with more equipment and its own visual treatment.
