2027 Volkswagen ID. Polo Style

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Polo Style introduces 18-inch Cardiff alloy wheels, LED matrix headlights, dynamic rear indicators and a more extensive equipment package than the Life trim.

  • The MEB+ electric platform offers three power outputs ranging from 116 PS to 211 PS, with 37 kWh and 52 kWh battery options across the ID. Polo range and up to 281 miles of WLTP range.

  • Style equipment includes heated sports comfort seats, a heated steering wheel, 30-colour ambient lighting, two-zone climate control and a 12.9-inch infotainment display.

Volkswagen ID. Polo Style Joins the Electric Supermini Range

The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Polo Style brings additional equipment to Volkswagen's new electric supermini, combining familiar Polo proportions with a more technology-focused interior.

Positioned above the Life specification, the Style introduces larger alloy wheels, upgraded lighting and additional comfort features.

The ID. Polo also marks an important change for the nameplate. After more than 20 million sales across six generations, Volkswagen has developed its seventh-generation Polo around an electric platform.

The new model uses the MEB+ architecture, with front-wheel drive replacing the rear-wheel-drive arrangement found in larger Volkswagen ID. models.

LED Matrix Headlights and 18 Inch Cardiff Wheels

The Style receives 18-inch Cardiff alloy wheels with a black diamond-turned finish, fitted with 215/50 R18 tyres.

At the front, LED matrix headlights accompany an illuminated Volkswagen badge and a horizontal light strip connecting the lighting units.

The rear features LED combination lamps with dynamic turn indicators, while black mirror housings contrast with the body-coloured bumpers.

Short overhangs, slightly flared wheel arches and a broad shoulder line give the hatchback a planted appearance.

The ID. Polo measures 4,053 mm long, 1,816 mm wide and 1,530 mm high, with a 2,592 mm wheelbase.

Heated Sports Seats and Digital Cockpit

Inside, the Style introduces heated front sports comfort seats, a heated multifunction steering wheel and black roof lining.

Ambient lighting offers 30 colour options, while the ID.Light system extends across the dashboard and into the front doors.

The 10-inch Digital Cockpit sits alongside a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, which includes navigation and wireless smartphone connectivity.

Volkswagen has also introduced a retro display mode inspired by the original Golf, featuring analogue-style instruments and cassette-player graphics.

Physical climate controls and a rotary audio controller remain part of the dashboard layout.

Electric Front Wheel Drive With Up to 211 PS

The ID. Polo range uses Volkswagen's APP290 electric motor, driving the front wheels through a single-speed transmission.

Three outputs are available across the range: 116 PS, 135 PS and 211 PS.

The smaller 37 kWh battery uses lithium iron phosphate chemistry, while the 52 kWh version uses nickel-manganese-cobalt cells.

In its 211 PS configuration, the ID. Polo accelerates from 0–62 mph in 7.1 seconds and offers up to 281 miles of WLTP range, depending on specification.

DC charging reaches 105 kW, with a 10–80 percent charge taking approximately 24 minutes.

441 Litre Boot and Everyday Practicality

Despite its compact exterior, the ID. Polo provides 441 litres of luggage capacity, expanding to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.

The electric architecture creates a flat floor and more interior space than the petrol-powered Polo.

Additional features include one-pedal driving, optional vehicle-to-load functionality and a towing capacity reaching 1,200 kg on 211 PS versions.

UK Availability and Pricing

Volkswagen opened UK orders for the regular Life and Style specifications in autumn 2026.

The wider ID. Polo range starts at £23,945 before the applicable government electric car grant.

A separate starting price for the Style specification is not confirmed in the supplied press pack.
