2027 BMW X5 M Performance Parts G65
By Lorenzo Bianchi September 15, 2026
Carbon fibre front trims, a three-piece splitter, roof spoiler and rear flow blades alter the new X5's exterior.
BMW will offer complete summer and winter wheel sets from 21 to 23 inches, including a new 23-inch Y-spoke design.
A performance silencer and carbon fibre tailpipe finishers are planned for selected V8-powered versions.
The 2027 BMW X5 M Performance Parts G65 package gives the fifth-generation X5 a more aggressive factory-backed appearance without turning it into a separate model. BMW's initial accessory catalogue concentrates on aerodynamic pieces, larger wheels and practical equipment, with several components also developed for the first electric iX5.
Carbon Parts Reshape the X5 Front End
Changes begin around the redesigned BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille. M Performance front trims introduce a carbon finish inside its illuminated frame, while a three-piece carbon-fibre front splitter extends the treatment lower down. BMW says the splitter combines aerodynamic functionality with reduced weight.
At the rear, a black high-gloss roof spoiler is joined by carbon-fibre flow blades positioned on either side of the diffuser. The rear diffuser itself and the exterior mirror caps use aramid rather than conventional carbon fibre. That choice allows electromagnetic waves to pass through the material, keeping mirror sensors and antennas associated with automatic tailgate operation functional.
New 23 Inch Wheels Lead the Range
Wheel choice stretches from 21 to 23 inches across complete summer and winter sets. The largest option is a new 23-inch M Performance Y-spoke 1110 M Bicolor light-alloy wheel, finished in Jet Black with gloss-milled surfaces.
Those larger wheels work with the X5's existing SUV proportions rather than changing the underlying body.
V8 Model Gets a Planned Performance Exhaust
BMW also confirms an M Performance Sound silencer system for a future V8-powered M Performance model. It is planned only for specific markets outside Europe due to regulatory requirements. Carbon-fibre tailpipe finishers will be available for the V8 and BMW X5 M60e xDrive.
No additional engine output, torque or acceleration figures for that future V8 model are provided.
Accessories Add Everyday Flexibility
The catalogue is not entirely focused on appearance. New aerodynamically optimised roof boxes offer 350, 450 or 550 litres of storage, each gaining 30 litres compared with its predecessor. A rear-mounted box adds another 300 litres.
Inside, BMW's Travel & Comfort System supports tablet holders and a smartphone adapter for devices up to seven inches. Waterproof all-weather floor mats and a luggage compartment mat are also available.
