Sharper Styling for the AMG Coupe
The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 S AMG Coupe arrives with a noticeably revised appearance, giving the high-performance SUV a stronger visual identity. At the front, Mercedes-AMG has introduced a redesigned fascia featuring its signature radiator grille and larger cooling openings designed to support the updated V8 powertrain.
LED headlamps receive an exclusive AMG light signature, creating a more distinctive look during both day and night driving. Around the back, the performance-focused character continues with prominent twin exhaust outlets and a revised diffuser design that emphasizes the vehicle’s athletic proportions.
The latest updates do not change the familiar coupe silhouette, but they sharpen several of the details that define the model’s road presence.
Performance Remains Center Stage
Power comes from a comprehensively updated AMG M177 EVO 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine. While peak output remains at 603 horsepower, Mercedes-AMG has introduced a number of technical changes including a new flat-plane crankshaft, revised intake components, an optimized fuel injection system, and updated exhaust treatment technology.
Torque stands at 627 lb-ft and is available across a broad operating range. Supporting the V8 is a 48-volt mild-hybrid system featuring a new-generation Integrated Starter Generator. The system contributes additional assistance at lower engine speeds while also enabling energy recuperation and smoother start-stop functionality.
According to Mercedes-AMG, the GLE 63 S Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 3.6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 174 mph.
Suspension Designed for Multiple Roles
One of the defining traits of the GLE 63 S Coupe remains its ability to balance performance and everyday usability.
Standard AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension continuously adapts to changing road conditions, while AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL uses active roll stabilization to reduce body movement during cornering. Sensors monitor vehicle behavior and road surfaces, allowing the system to react quickly and maintain stability.
The suspension can also alter ride height depending on driving mode and conditions. For off-road situations, additional ground clearance is available through the Trail program.
AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and an electronically controlled locking rear differential further contribute to traction and agility.
Digital Cabin with Expanded Personalization
Inside, the cabin combines performance-oriented features with luxury-focused materials. The latest AMG Performance steering wheel includes direct-access controls for key driving functions, while the new MB.OS infotainment system displays vehicle performance data such as torque distribution, G-forces, and engine information.
Customers can also choose from a broad selection of upholstery finishes, trim materials, wheel designs, and MANUFAKTUR customization options. New paint choices and available carbon fiber details provide additional opportunities for personalization.
With its updated V8 engine, revised technology package, and sharper design, the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 S AMG Coupe continues to serve as Mercedes-AMG’s performance-focused interpretation of the luxury coupe SUV.
