The 2027 Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max joins the N90 Max as the smaller member of Xiaomi Auto's new SkyNomad SUV family. The supplied material identifies it as a five seat AWD extended range SUV, with an official presale price of RMB 259,900.
While much of the detailed cabin information specifically references the larger N90 Series, the N70 Max shares the broader SkyNomad design philosophy and new Kunlun Platform.
Upright Shape Follows The SkyNomad Formula
The N70 Max measures 4,960 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,765 mm tall. Its 2,950 mm wheelbase is 130 mm shorter than the N90 Max, yet still stretches across much of the body length.
SkyNomad's exterior philosophy puts interior packaging ahead of dramatic body shaping. A flat roofline is paired with a continuous waistline and rising sill, producing squared SUV proportions. Rounded rectangular forms are repeated through details including the headlights, taillights, door handles and side cameras.
Xiaomi also describes dragonfly shaped headlights with a cross pattern, while the halo rear lighting takes on an inverted U shape.
Kunlun Platform Concentrates On Cabin Space
The new Kunlun Platform was developed around reducing mechanical intrusion into the passenger compartment. Xiaomi divides its packaging work across the longitudinal, lateral and vertical axes.
At the front, a five in one EREV system combines several components to reduce the length of the front mechanical package to 1,265 mm. Suspension components are repositioned around the rear wheel arches, while the integrated rear electric drive and suspension architecture frees additional vertical space.
The battery pack control module is relocated internally, reducing floor thickness by 180 mm. Xiaomi says the result is a completely flat cabin floor.
Five Seats Separate N70 From N90
The clearest distinction between the two SkyNomad models is seating. The N70 Max is specified as a five seater, while the flagship N90 Max accommodates seven.
The broader SkyNomad material describes a cabin philosophy built around soft wrapped surfaces, concealed air vents, a two spoke steering wheel and a cabinet style center console. Individual N70 Max specifications, however, are not fully separated from N90 equipment.
AWD Extended Range System Confirmed
Xiaomi identifies the N70 Max as an AWD extended range SUV. The document also describes the Kunlun Platform's integrated EREV packaging and rear coaxial electric drive.
At RMB 259,900 during presales, the N70 Max sits RMB 40,000 below the seven seat N90 Max. Its role within the initial SkyNomad lineup is clear: a shorter, five seat AWD alternative built around the same space focused platform concept.
