2027 Xiaomi Sky Nomad N90 Gives First Look at Xiaomi's Big SUV
Xiaomi has taken another step beyond the success of the SU7 by revealing the name of its first SUV. Called the 2027 Xiaomi Sky Nomad N90, the new model is expected to become the brand's flagship family SUV, offering both five-seat and seven-seat configurations when it arrives. While Xiaomi is still keeping many of the technical details under wraps, the first official images reveal a vehicle that clearly builds on the company's existing design language while moving into a much larger segment.
The N90 is built on Xiaomi's Kunlun architecture, which has been developed with practicality in mind. A flat floor and long sliding rails suggest a cabin designed to adapt to family life, whether it's carrying extra passengers or making room for larger loads. Early reports indicate pricing could start above 250,000 RMB for the five-seat version, with the seven-seat model expected to exceed 300,000 RMB, although Xiaomi has yet to confirm final figures.
Familiar design, larger presence
At first glance, it's obvious the N90 belongs to the same family as the SU7 and YU7. The slim LED headlights, clean front fascia and wide lower intake all carry familiar Xiaomi styling cues, but they're wrapped around a much taller, more substantial body.
A panel linking the headlights stretches across the nose and features the new Sky Nomad branding. Sitting above it is a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, hinting that advanced driver-assistance technology will play a significant role when the SUV reaches production.
Built for space without losing character
From the side, the N90 looks every bit like a full-size SUV. Pronounced wheel arches give it a planted stance, while floating mirrors and semi-hidden mechanical door handles continue themes already seen elsewhere in Xiaomi's lineup.
Large multi-spoke alloy wheels and chrome window surrounds add a more premium feel without making the design look overdone. Around the back, full-width ring-style taillights complete a look that feels familiar but distinctive enough to establish the N90 as its own model.
Cabin focuses on flexibility
Xiaomi hasn't shown the interior yet, but the platform itself provides some clues. The flat-floor design and long sliding rails point toward a flexible cabin layout, particularly in the seven-seat version, where passenger comfort and cargo versatility are likely to be priorities. Other interior features remain [Unverified] until Xiaomi releases additional information.
A bigger role in Xiaomi's lineup
The Sky Nomad N90 isn't simply a taller version of the SU7. It's Xiaomi's first attempt at competing in the growing large electric SUV segment, where buyers increasingly expect generous space, modern technology and everyday practicality in a single package.
With its official launch expected soon, the 2027 Xiaomi Sky Nomad N90 gives an early indication that Xiaomi intends to become more than just an EV sedan manufacturer. The SUV may share familiar styling with the company's earlier models, but it also signals a broader ambition as Xiaomi expands its automotive lineup.
