A familiar silhouette, now fully electric

The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric doesn’t try to reinvent the shape. It refines it.

From the A-pillar back, the coupe diverges clearly from the standard SUV. The roofline drops into what Porsche calls the “flyline,” a nod to the Porsche 911. It’s a gentle slope, but it changes the whole stance. The car looks lower, more stretched, more focused.

The details are tight. Flush-mounted glass at the rear, fewer visible joints, and a cleaner integration of the adaptive spoiler. It all contributes to a smoother surface, which isn’t just visual. It plays into efficiency as well.


Wider, lower, and still usable

Despite the coupe profile, the Cayenne hasn’t sacrificed its core shape.

It measures 4,985 mm long and 1,980 mm wide, matching the SUV. Height drops slightly, sitting 24 mm lower at 1,650 mm. That’s enough to change the stance without affecting usability too much.

The numbers tell part of the story. The rest comes from how it sits. The shoulders are broad, the body feels planted, and the proportions lean toward performance rather than utility.

Still, practicality hasn’t been pushed aside. The rear cargo area ranges from 534 to 1,347 litres, with an additional 90-litre front trunk. It can even tow up to 3.5 tonnes. That’s not typical for something shaped like this.


Interior stays focused on the driver

Inside, Porsche sticks to what it knows.

The layout follows the Porsche Driver Experience philosophy. A fully digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, with a central Flow Display and optional passenger screen. There’s also an available augmented reality head-up display.

It’s not minimal in the strict sense. There are still physical controls where they matter. But the balance has shifted toward digital, with more customization built in through widgets and themes.

The optional Lightweight Sport package adds another layer. Carbon surfaces, Race-Tex trim, and even Pepita-pattern seat centers appear. It’s a small nod to heritage inside an otherwise modern setup.


Performance numbers push the limits

This is where the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric starts to separate itself.

The range begins with a 300 kW base model. The Turbo variant goes much further. It produces 630 kW as standard, rising to 850 kW with Launch Control. That’s roughly 1,156 horsepower.

Acceleration reflects that. Zero to 100 km/h takes 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h. For an SUV, even one shaped like a coupe, those are serious numbers.


Charging speed and range step forward

The move to an 800-volt system changes how the car behaves off the road as well.

Under the right conditions, DC charging reaches up to 390 kW, with peaks touching 400 kW. That shortens charging stops significantly, though exact times depend on conditions.

The aerodynamic improvements from the coupe shape help too. With a drag coefficient of 0.23, the Cayenne Coupe Electric can reach up to 669 km of WLTP range, slightly ahead of the SUV version.


Positioned at the top of the electric SUV space

The Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric enters a growing field of high-performance EV SUVs.

What sets it apart is how it combines traditional Porsche design cues with modern electric hardware. It doesn’t feel like a departure. More like an evolution.

Three variants at launch give it range, from usable daily performance to something far more extreme. The Turbo model sits right at the top, aimed at buyers who want outright speed without giving up space.

The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric doesn’t abandon the Cayenne formula. It sharpens it, lowers it slightly, and pushes the performance envelope further than before.
