A coupe profile shaped by Porsche heritage

The 2027 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe Electric leans heavily on familiar cues, but it doesn’t feel recycled.

From the front, it’s recognisably Cayenne. Past the A-pillar, things change. The roofline drops into a smooth arc, what Porsche refers to as the flyline. It’s clearly influenced by the Porsche 911, and it shows in the way the rear sits lower and tighter.

The detailing stays clean. Flush glass surfaces at the rear, fewer visible joints, and an integrated adaptive spoiler give the body a more resolved look. It’s not overly dramatic, but the intent is obvious.


Lower stance without losing usability

The coupe shape alters the proportions just enough to matter.

Length and width remain unchanged at 4,985 mm and 1,980 mm. Height drops by 24 mm, bringing it down to 1,650 mm. On paper, that’s minor. In person, it shifts the stance noticeably, especially from the rear three-quarter view.

What stands out is that practicality hasn’t been compromised as much as expected. Boot space ranges from 534 to 1,347 litres, with a 90-litre front trunk adding extra storage. Rear seating can be configured as a two-seat layout or a 2+1 setup, both electrically adjustable.


Digital cabin with a familiar Porsche layout

Inside, the Cayenne S Coupe Electric sticks to Porsche’s current design approach.

The driver sits behind a fully digital instrument cluster, paired with a central display and an optional passenger screen. There’s also an available augmented reality head-up display, adding another layer to the interface.

It doesn’t feel stripped back. Physical controls still exist where they’re needed, particularly for frequently used functions. The system leans toward customization, with adjustable widgets and display themes shaping the experience.

Optional touches like the Lightweight Sport package bring in carbon surfaces, Race-Tex trim, and subtle motorsport references through materials like Pepita-pattern seat inserts.


Performance sits firmly in the upper tier

The S variant sits right in the middle of the Cayenne Electric Coupe lineup, but it doesn’t feel like a compromise.

It produces 400 kW in standard form. With Launch Control, output rises to 490 kW, which translates to 666 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

Those numbers place it comfortably within high-performance territory, even before stepping up to the Turbo version.


Aerodynamics and charging play a bigger role

The coupe roofline isn’t just visual.

It contributes to a drag coefficient of 0.23, slightly better than the standard SUV. That helps extend WLTP range to as much as 669 km, depending on the configuration.

Charging is handled by an 800-volt system. Under optimal conditions, DC charging can reach up to 390 kW, with peaks around 400 kW. AC charging goes up to 11 kW as standard, with a higher 22 kW option available.


Positioned between usability and performance

The 2027 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe Electric lands in a familiar space.

It’s not the entry point, and it’s not the extreme version either. Instead, it balances usable performance with everyday practicality. The towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes and available off-road package underline that dual role.

Within the broader electric SUV segment, it sits among increasingly capable rivals. What keeps it distinct is the way it carries over Porsche’s design language and driving focus into an electric format without overcomplicating the formula.
