2027 Maserati Grecale Trofeo V6 Grigio Lamiera

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Grecale Trofeo V6 runs a 530-CV, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with pre-chamber technology, reaching 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a 285 km/h top speed.

  • Air Spring suspension with Skyhook damping and a rear eLSD differential come standard on the Trofeo, exclusive within the Grecale lineup.

  • The cabin gets exposed carbon fiber, perforated leather, an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel and a redesigned octagonal digital clock.

Maserati is refreshing the Grecale range, and the Trofeo V6 sits at the top of that update as the performance flagship of the brand's D-SUV lineup. The changes touch front-end styling, interior materials, suspension tuning and drive-mode software, while the Trofeo keeps its position as the most track-focused Grecale, built around a 530-CV twin-turbo V6 that Maserati says delivers the highest power-to-weight ratio in its category at 177 CV per liter.

A Sharper, More Aggressive Front End

The biggest visual change lands up front. The Grecale's "shark-nose" fascia — already a signature of the model — becomes more pronounced across the range, echoing the design language introduced on the MCPURA supercar. On the Trofeo specifically, the grille sits pushed slightly forward compared with other trims, giving the nose a bolder stance. An air curtain in the front bumper channels airflow along the wheel arch to reduce turbulence.

Stance Shaped by Standard Air Suspension

Air Spring suspension, optional on lower Grecale trims, comes standard on the Trofeo V6, paired with Skyhook damping technology. The system can lower the car 15mm in Sport-mode Aero height or drop it a further 25mm in Park mode, while Off-Road mode raises it roughly 30mm above normal. Combined with 255/40 R21 front and 295/35 R21 rear tires, the Trofeo carries a wider footprint than the rest of the lineup, and its exclusive rear eLSD differential manages torque distribution under hard cornering.

Carbon Fiber and Alcantara Define the Cabin

Inside, the Trofeo V6 trades the warmer leather tones of other Grecale trims for exposed, three-dimensional carbon fiber and perforated leather, finished with chevron stitching Maserati says emphasizes the car's dynamism. Contrast stitching in yellow or red runs through the black cabin, with two-tone black/dark red and black/ice combinations also offered. The steering wheel gets a Sport-spec Alcantara finish as standard, built around new octagonal geometry with flat upper and lower sections. A redesigned digital clock, now with a metal ring and glass bezel, displays drive-mode changes through a pop-up graphic.

A 530-CV V6 With F1-Derived Technology

Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 built on Maserati Twin Combustion technology, a pre-chamber ignition system Maserati traces back to Formula 1. The engine produces 530 CV and 620 Nm of torque, good for a 3.8-second 0-100 km/h run and a 285 km/h top speed. Braking hardware scales up to match: the Trofeo runs a Dual Cast system with 360x32mm perforated front discs and six-piston monobloc calipers, larger than the setup on lesser Grecale trims.

Everyday Usability Hasn't Been Sacrificed

Despite the performance focus, the Grecale platform still prioritizes cabin space — Maserati says it's the most spacious SUV in its class, accommodating up to the 99th percentile passenger in front and rear seats. The Trofeo's boot capacity comes in at 570 liters, and the rear seats fold flat via a button in the cargo area, keeping the SUV usable for daily driving even in its most aggressive form.

Positioned as the Grecale's Performance Halo

Within Maserati's own lineup, the Trofeo V6 sits above the Grecale V6 and Modena V6, both powered by a related 390-CV version of the same engine family, and above the four-cylinder mild-hybrid Grecale and Modena models. It's also the only ICE Grecale trim to get Corsa drive mode, which sharpens throttle response, quickens shifts and enables Launch Control.
