The Chevrolet Corvette V8 Tourer is limited to 15 right-hand-drive convertibles exclusively for Japan, priced at ¥21,500,000 including tax, with deliveries scheduled from November 2026.
Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat paint is paired with full-length Sterling Silver dual racing stripes, chrome badging, forged aluminium wheels and body-coloured exterior accents.
The interior features Natural Dipped upholstery, GT2 bucket seats, matching seat belts and commemorative ornaments. Its Corvette Stingray foundation uses a 502 PS, 6.2-litre LT2 V8.
Chevrolet Corvette V8 Tourer Arrives in Japan
General Motors Japan has introduced the Chevrolet Corvette V8 Tourer, a limited-edition convertible developed around the grand touring character of the mid-engined Corvette.
The vehicle went on sale through authorised Chevrolet dealerships in Japan on October 1, 2026. Only 15 examples will be offered, all configured with right-hand drive.
Red Mist Paint and Sterling Silver Racing Stripes
The V8 Tourer receives Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat, a darker red finish than the Torch Red available on the regular Corvette.
Full-length Sterling Silver dual racing stripes extend across the body, providing contrast against the deep metallic paint.
Chrome exterior badges replace the usual visual treatment, while body-coloured accents cover the A-pillars, roof, nacelles and side-intake surrounds.
A front splitter and low-profile rear spoiler complete the exterior specification without substantially altering the convertible's established design.
Mid Engine Proportions and Forged Alloy Wheels
The Tourer retains the eighth-generation Corvette's mid-engined layout, with the passenger compartment positioned ahead of the V8.
Its low nose, sculpted side intakes and broad rear section remain prominent in the supplied photographs.
Five-split-spoke forged aluminium wheels feature a Pearl Nickel finish, paired with black brake calipers.
Chevrolet has not announced revised body dimensions, suspension geometry or aerodynamic performance figures specifically for this limited edition.
Natural Dipped Interior With GT2 Bucket Seats
Inside, the V8 Tourer adopts Chevrolet's Natural Dipped colour scheme, extending the lighter upholstery treatment across the passenger compartment.
Matching Natural-coloured seat belts accompany GT2 bucket seats, distinguishing the cabin from the more aggressively contrasting interiors often associated with performance-focused Corvettes.
Two details are exclusive to the Japanese edition: a passenger-side ornament and specially decorated floor mats.
The announcement does not identify changes to the digital displays, infotainment software or convertible roof mechanism.
6.2 Litre LT2 V8 Produces 502 PS
The eighth-generation Corvette uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre LT2 V8 mounted behind the occupants.
Chevrolet Japan quotes 502 PS for the underlying model, retaining the engine's role as the central mechanical feature of the V8 Tourer.
The company highlights the V8's low- and mid-range torque delivery, engine sound and handling characteristics as qualities suited to longer journeys.
No Tourer-specific horsepower increase, acceleration figure or gearbox revision is confirmed in the supplied release.
Japan Exclusive Production and Pricing
The Corvette V8 Tourer is available exclusively in Japan, with a manufacturer-recommended price of ¥21.5 million including tax.
Orders opened on October 1, 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November.
Its production limit of 15 vehicles places the edition within Chevrolet's small-volume Japanese offerings, combining established Corvette performance with a distinctive exterior and interior specification.
