It is the first fully electric 3 Series based on the new architecture, sitting alongside combustion engined versions rather than simply replacing them. <h2 data-id="mrFE3n">Neue Klasse Shapes The Electric 3 Series</h2>The i3 shares the basic 2.5 box silhouette of the new 3 Series, with short overhangs, a set back glasshouse and visibly flared wheel arches. Its electric architecture results in slightly different proportions, though. At 4,760 mm long and 1,865 mm wide, the i3 is marginally shorter but wider than the combustion car.
