2026 Suzuki Jimny Heritage
By Lorenzo Bianchi October 3, 2026
The final 300 Jimny Heritage models are individually numbered from 301 to 600.
This Heritage release is exclusively based on the Jimny GLX automatic.
Australian pricing starts at $42,490 drive away, with orders open now.
The 2026 Suzuki Jimny Heritage is returning to Australia, but this final batch makes one significant change. Instead of the manual transmission used by the original Heritage release, all 300 new vehicles come exclusively with an automatic.
Suzuki Australia says the three door special edition is based on the Jimny GLX automatic. Vehicles are individually numbered from 301 to 600, continuing the sequence started by the first 300 examples released in 2023.
Familiar Jimny Shape Gets Heritage Details
There are no major body changes. The Heritage treatment works around the compact, upright Jimny shape with a small collection of identifiable exterior additions.
Red mud flaps are fitted at both ends, while Heritage decals provide the main visual distinction along the body. A limited build badge is also included, together with what Suzuki describes as an exclusive Jimny Heritage pack.
Three exterior colours are available: Superior White, Medium Grey and Jungle Green. Metallic paint costs extra.
The supplied material does not specify unique wheels, tire dimensions, exterior dimensions or additional suspension changes for the Heritage.
Cabin Adds Limited Edition Equipment
Inside, the most significant Heritage-specific practical item is a dedicated cargo tray. Suzuki does not detail changes to the seats, dashboard, infotainment system or interior materials, so those elements cannot be attributed specifically to this edition from the supplied release.
The limited build identification reinforces the numbered production run rather than changing the Jimny's basic cabin layout.
That simplicity is intentional here. The Heritage is essentially a GLX automatic carrying a collection of visual and practical additions rather than a substantially reworked Jimny derivative.
Automatic Gearbox Is The Main Change
The switch to an automatic transmission is the headline mechanical difference. The original 300 Jimny Heritage three door models were manuals, while this second release is automatic only.
Suzuki says the first batch of 300 manual Heritage models sold out in five hours. The company describes the automatic as a response to customer demand.
No engine displacement, power output, torque figure, fuel economy data or detailed four wheel drive specifications are provided in this press release. Those figures therefore remain unspecified rather than being carried over from other Jimny material.
Final 300 Cars Priced From $42,490
The 2026 Suzuki Jimny Heritage starts at $42,490 drive away, representing a $1,500 premium over the standard Jimny automatic. Pre-orders are already available through participating Suzuki Australia dealers.
This is also the end of the line for this particular Australian special edition. Suzuki explicitly states that vehicles numbered 301 through 600 will be the final Jimny three door Heritage limited edition models sold in Australia.
With only 300 examples in the second release, its positioning is straightforward: familiar Jimny hardware, automatic convenience and a limited set of retro-themed details tied to Suzuki's four wheel drive history.
