A Bright New Look for the Jimny Range
The 2026 Suzuki Jimny Rhino has officially arrived in Australia after weeks of speculation surrounding the special edition off-roader. Based on the five-door Jimny XL, the new model introduces a distinctive appearance package and a collection of exclusive features aimed at enthusiasts looking for something different.
Finished exclusively in Kinetic Yellow, a colour previously reserved for three-door Jimny variants, the Jimny Rhino stands out immediately. The bright exterior is paired with a Pearl Black roof, creating a strong contrast that gives the compact SUV a more distinctive presence on the road and trail alike.
Rhino Styling Adds Character
Much of the Jimny Rhino's identity comes from its bespoke exterior treatment. Along the sides, a Rhino-themed decal features a charging rhino graphic accompanied by twin stripes that extend rearward across the bodywork.
Suzuki says the design was inspired by winding mountain roads and the adventurous nature of the Jimny itself. The graphics follow the contour of the rear wheel arch before ending with Japanese script for the word "rhino," a nod to the model's heritage and growing interest in Japanese automotive culture.
Additional exterior details include satin silver bumper and side skirt garnishes, front and rear mudflaps, a heritage-inspired Suzuki grille, and a dedicated Rhino badge mounted on the tailgate.
Compact Dimensions With Added Detail
The Jimny XL's familiar proportions remain unchanged, retaining its upright stance, short overhangs and boxy silhouette. Those characteristics continue to define the vehicle's off-road-focused appearance.
Exclusive 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels feature a Shuriken-inspired pattern designed to create a sense of movement even when stationary. Together with the bright paint finish, they help distinguish the Rhino from the standard Jimny XL.
Cabin Features Tailored to the Edition
Inside, Suzuki has introduced a series of special-edition touches rather than redesigning the cabin.
Diffused LED lighting illuminates the ground when the doors are opened, while satin silver trim pieces surround the air vents and, on automatic models, the shift panel. Manual-transmission versions receive a retro-style gearshift knob.
Kinetic Yellow stitching appears on the leather-wrapped door handles and passenger assist handle, both of which feature laser-etched Rhino branding. Bespoke Rhino badging, custom floor mats and upgraded Pioneer speakers further separate the model from the standard range.
Limited Production and Market Position
The 2026 Suzuki Jimny Rhino will be offered in both manual and automatic forms and is available exclusively in Kinetic Yellow. Suzuki has confirmed production will be limited.
Positioned above the regular Jimny XL, the Rhino focuses on exclusivity and visual differentiation rather than mechanical changes. It targets buyers who appreciate the Jimny's established reputation while wanting a version with additional personality and collectability.
