Singer Gives the 964 Cabriolet a Different Character

The 2026 Singer Porsche 911 Classic Turbo is the open top half of a two car project created by Singer and Louis Vuitton. While the companion Classic is a naturally aspirated coupé, this car takes Singer's Classic Turbo route, starting with a Type 964 Cabriolet chassis and adding a much wider visual and mechanical brief.

Its body is formed from lightweight carbon fibre and painted Calcaire Lutétien, an ivory white shade picked out with milky gold detailing. American walnut accents with silver rhodium inserts introduce an unusual material contrast outside, while the familiar whale tail rear wing gives the back of the car its defining shape. Louis Vuitton also designed leather latches for the front hood and rear decklid.

The removable canvas roof uses a carbon fibre and aluminium structure, keeping the Cabriolet format central to the design rather than disguising it. The wheels repeat the body colour, with milky gold centre caps and highly polished gold lips. Even the brake calipers follow the same gold treatment.

A Cabin Inspired by Classic Motorboats

The interior is where the collaboration becomes less conventional. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton's Artistic Director of Women's Collections, conceived the Classic Turbo around a mix of automotive and nautical references. Cognac leather meets American walnut, with the latter intended to recall the timber decks of classic motorboats.

Lightweight carbon fibre track seats receive American walnut backs. Ahead of them are floating gauges with gold plated Tambour bezels and faces lacquered to match the exterior. A removable mechanical dashboard clock sits in the centre console and can also be placed on its own desktop stand.

There are some surprisingly practical touches among all that detail. Apple CarPlay and air conditioning are included, while the gearshift gaiter takes inspiration from Louis Vuitton's Noé bag.

Twin Turbo Power Stays Analogue

Singer has fitted a 3.8 liter twin turbocharged flat six with air to water intercooling. It drives the rear wheels through a six speed manual gearbox, backed by ABS, traction control and electronic stability control with selectable drive modes.
