2026 Seat Cupra Tavascan V Arrives With More Choice

The 2026 Seat Cupra Tavascan V expands the Australian Tavascan lineup by introducing a new entry-level variant while bringing a series of meaningful updates across the entire MY26 range. Rather than making cosmetic changes alone, CUPRA has focused on improving everyday usability with more standard equipment, revised technology, and an additional model designed to make the electric SUV accessible to a wider group of buyers. The updated range is expected to reach Australia from late August 2026.

Exterior Design Keeps Its Distinctive Identity

Visually, the new Tavascan V carries the same expressive styling that already defines the model range. CUPRA says the new variant retains the emotional design and progressive character found across every Tavascan despite becoming the most accessible version. MY26 also introduces Midnight Black Metallic as a no-cost exterior colour, while the Dark Void finish is now available across the lineup.

Balanced Proportions With Everyday Practicality

The Tavascan continues to ride on Volkswagen Group's dedicated MEB electric vehicle platform. Designed and developed in Barcelona, the SUV combines its coupe-inspired proportions with a cabin intended for daily commuting, weekend travel and family use. CUPRA positions the model as an alternative within Australia's growing medium electric SUV segment.

Interior Technology Receives A Meaningful Update

One of the biggest MY26 changes is found inside. Every Tavascan now receives a larger 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, replacing the previous 5.3-inch display. Physical steering-wheel buttons replace the earlier haptic controls following customer feedback, while redesigned wireless phone charging, electrically operated air vents, speed sign recognition, and software updates further improve the driving experience. The Tavascan V also includes memory and heated front seats, Sennheiser premium audio, Dark Night Dinamica trim, a 360-degree camera and 20-inch Heckla alloy wheels as standard.

Rear Wheel Drive Opens The Range

Powering the new Tavascan V is a 140kW rear-mounted electric motor paired with a 58kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. CUPRA quotes a WLTP driving range of approximately 414 kilometres, while DC fast charging of up to 105kW allows a 10 to 80 percent recharge in around 26 minutes under ideal conditions. Higher in the range, the Endurance continues with a 210kW motor and approximately 520 kilometres of WLTP range, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive VZ delivers 250kW and an estimated 509 kilometres of driving range. Both Endurance and VZ now gain launch control as standard.

Broader Choice In Australia's EV Market

With three variants now available, the MY26 Tavascan lineup offers buyers more flexibility without changing the vehicle's overall character. Australian pricing starts at $55,490 for the new Tavascan V, followed by the Endurance at $66,490 and the VZ at $75,490. Ordering opens ahead of customer deliveries scheduled from late August 2026.
