Black Edition introduces exclusive dark exterior and interior styling details.
Available only with CUPRA's Immersive and Adrenaline equipment packs.
Builds on the Tavascan's role as CUPRA's all-electric SUV coupé.
CUPRA Gives The Tavascan A Darker Identity
The CUPRA Tavascan has always stood apart from conventional electric SUVs. Its sharp lines, low roofline and dramatic proportions gave it a distinctive presence from the moment it arrived. Now the Spanish brand is adding a darker interpretation of that formula.
The 2026 CUPRA Tavascan Black Edition has been unveiled as the latest addition to the company's expanding Black Edition family. Rather than altering the vehicle's basic shape, CUPRA has focused on visual details that change the character of the SUV coupé without moving away from its original design direction.
Dark Styling Takes Center Stage
At first glance, the changes appear subtle. Look closer and the Black Edition reveals a more purposeful appearance.
Midnight Black serves as the signature finish for the model, although buyers can still choose from the full Tavascan colour palette. The exterior gains black front bumper grilles, black mirror housings and matching lower body claddings, creating a more unified look from front to rear.
The wheels play an important role in the overall impression. Depending on specification, the Black Edition rides on either 20-inch HECKLA or 21-inch KATLA matt black alloy wheels. Combined with the Tavascan's coupe-like silhouette, the darker elements help emphasize its low and wide stance.
The effect is less about adding aggression and more about creating visual consistency. Everything appears intentionally toned down, giving the vehicle a cleaner and more focused appearance.
A Cabin Built Around Dark Materials
The same theme continues inside.
The dashboard spine and door mouldings receive Fusion Metal detailing, while black slush and PVC finishes create a technical atmosphere throughout the cabin. The result feels contemporary without becoming overly complicated.
Black Soul Bucket seats trimmed in sustainable Dinamica upholstery become one of the interior highlights. According to CUPRA, the seats are designed to combine comfort with strong lateral support, reinforcing the sporty character that has become a hallmark of the brand's products.
Technology And Equipment Come Standard
The Black Edition isn't offered as a standalone styling package. Instead, it comes exclusively with the Immersive and Adrenaline packs.
That means buyers receive a broad collection of comfort and technology features already available within the Tavascan range. Electrically adjustable front seats with memory and heating functions are included, alongside immersive ambient lighting and a premium Sennheiser sound system. Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), a panoramic sunroof and advanced driver information systems are also part of the package.
Strengthening CUPRA's Electric Portfolio
As CUPRA's first fully electric SUV coupé, the Tavascan occupies an important position within the brand's lineup.
The arrival of the Black Edition doesn't change the vehicle's underlying electric architecture or powertrain range. Instead, it offers a fresh interpretation of a model that already plays a central role in CUPRA's electrification strategy.
With production scheduled to begin this summer, the 2026 CUPRA Tavascan Black Edition expands the brand's growing catalogue of Black Edition models while giving its electric flagship a more distinctive visual identity.
