Nissan Pathfinder XE V6 Concept Celebrates 40 Years at SEMA
Nissan has revealed the 2026 Nissan Pathfinder XE-V6 Concept, a modified three-row SUV celebrating four decades of the Pathfinder nameplate.
Developed for the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the vehicle revisits the character of the original WD21-generation Pathfinder while incorporating equipment intended for present-day off-road travel.
The concept joins the Frontier RONIN and Armada Jungle Patrol in Nissan's latest SEMA collection.
Its styling takes inspiration from the first-generation Pathfinder, introduced during the 1980s, when the model established its reputation as a practical recreational SUV.
Retro Red Paint and Classic Nissan Graphics
The Pathfinder XE-V6 features a red exterior with black, charcoal and silver stripes inspired by Nissan Patrol models from the 1980s.
Retro XE-V6 identification references the original Pathfinder's available 3.0-litre V6 engine.
The redesigned front end incorporates a custom high-clearance bumper fitted with two six-inch NISMO Off Road driving lights.
Additional four-inch lamps are mounted beside the windscreen, while the roof rack carries another four six-inch lights.
Custom rock rails and protective skid plates extend beneath the body, providing protection for off-road use.
Four Inch Lift and Yokohama Mud Terrain Tires
The concept receives a custom four-inch suspension lift incorporating a cradle spacer.
This creates additional clearance for its larger wheel and tire package.
Prototype 18-by-9-inch NISMO AX-5 wheels are fitted with 285/75R18 Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 tires.
The combination gives the Pathfinder a visibly raised stance compared with its conventional road-going configuration.
Nissan has not published revised ground clearance measurements, suspension travel figures or approach and departure angles for the concept [Unverified].
Roof Storage and Off Road Recovery Equipment
The Pathfinder XE-V6 carries equipment intended for recreational travel.
Its roof rack incorporates MOLLE panels and a NISMO Off Road storage case.
Additional accessories include a white 45-quart NISMO ice box and a 1.75-gallon RotoPax canister.
A WARN M800S winch with synthetic rope provides recovery capability.
At the rear, a custom high-clearance bumper incorporates recovery points and an integrated hitch, while a swing-out carrier accommodates the spare tire.
Interior Features and 295 HP V6 Engine
Nissan has not detailed any specific changes to the XE-V6 Concept's seating, dashboard or infotainment system [Unverified].
Mechanically, the vehicle is based on the Pathfinder Rock Creek package, retaining its standard 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.
A prototype NISMO cat-back exhaust system is the principal engine-related modification identified in the build sheet.
No additional horsepower increase or revised acceleration figure has been announced.
