2026 Nissan Pathfinder

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Updated exterior, redesigned dashboard and new 12.3-inch touchscreen.

  • Expanded driver-assist and camera technologies, including Invisible Hood View.

  • Stronger refinement across trims, with a more capable Rock Creek grade.

Updated Exterior and Cabin Layout

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder introduces its refresh with the kind of changes that register immediately. The updated front and rear fascias give the SUV a more upright posture, and new satin exterior badging sharpens the look further. A new Baltic Teal finish appears in the lineup, a color that suits the family SUV’s broader shoulders and revised lighting signatures. Higher SL and Platinum grades now shift to black roof rails for a cleaner, more contemporary profile

Inside, Nissan moves the cabin into a more modern space. A redesigned dashboard incorporates a wider central display area, with embossed PATHFINDER lettering positioned below the screen, giving the dash a subtle sense of width. The Platinum grade adds additional touches—new seat quilting, wood-tone trim and a revised 20-inch wheel design—aimed at lifting overall refinement for drivers who regularly cross-shop premium rivals.

Expanded Technology and Driver Assistance

Technology is the core of this refresh. A 12.3-inch touchscreen is now standard across all grades, paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The SL trim also adopts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Charging surfaces get attention as well: a redesigned wireless phone charger increases output from 5 to 15 watts and adds active cooling to keep temperatures stable during longer drives.

The available HD Intelligent Around View Monitor now incorporates two new camera systems. Front Wide View provides a 180-degree perspective to help with obstructed exits, while the new Invisible Hood View creates a virtual image “through” the hood to assist wheel placement in tight or low-visibility scenarios. These additions give Pathfinder owners clearer situational awareness in everyday settings like parking garages and suburban driveways.

Interior Space and Versatility

The Pathfinder retains its three-row format, offering seating for eight or seven with available captain’s chairs. Nissan’s LATCH AND GLIDE system allows the second row to tip and slide even with a child seat installed, a practical feature rarely found in this segment. Cargo volume measures 16.6 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 80.5 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.

Powertrain and Capability

The SUV continues with its 3.5-liter V6, rated at 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Intelligent 4x4 is available on all grades and standard on Rock Creek, supported by seven drive modes—Auto, Eco, Tow, Sport, Sand, Mud and Rut.

Standard towing remains 3,500 pounds, with configurations equipped for up to 6,000 pounds when properly matched.

Rock Creek Grade and Positioning

The Rock Creek grade carries over as the more adventurous expression of the Pathfinder lineup. It features an off-road-tuned suspension, lifted ride height, all-terrain tires and distinct bumpers. Interior touches like Lava Red stitching reinforce its purpose. A new Rock Creek Premium Package adds convenience items including a panoramic moonroof and wireless charging.

As part of the Re:Nissan recovery plan, the 2026 Pathfinder stands as a key contributor—a three-row SUV strengthened with technology and refinement to meet the expectations of families seeking both utility and comfort.
