A refreshed entry in Kia’s UK line-up
The 2026 Kia Stonic has been unveiled for the UK market, bringing a sharper look, enhanced technology, and a simplified grade structure. With pricing set from £21,795, it remains one of Kia’s most accessible crossovers, positioned just above the Picanto. Deliveries will begin in the final quarter of 2025
This is the second significant update to the Stonic, following a mild facelift in 2020. The latest refresh aligns its design language with Kia’s newer models and introduces a wealth of technology previously unavailable in the segment.
Trim levels and pricing
Kia UK has streamlined the Stonic into three distinct trims: Pure, GT-Line, and GT-Line S. Each grade is positioned with clear equipment packages, while premium paint remains the only option across the range at £600.
- Pure: From £21,795 with 98 bhp 1.0-litre T-GDi, manual transmission. DCT optional at £22,795.
- GT-Line: From £24,595, equipped with a 113 bhp mild-hybrid system. Manual or optional DCT (£25,595).
- GT-Line S: £28,295, range-topping with additional tech including digital key and smart cruise control
Engine and performance
The Stonic is available exclusively with Kia’s 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine. In the Pure trim, it produces 98 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or optional seven-speed DCT. Performance figures include 0–62 mph in 11.0 seconds (manual) or 12.1 seconds (DCT), with a top speed of 111 mph.
In GT-Line and GT-Line S trims, mild-hybrid assistance increases output to 113 bhp, while torque remains identical. Acceleration improves slightly, with 0–62 mph in 10.7 seconds (manual) or 10.8 seconds (DCT). Top speed rises to 113 mph
Design and equipment highlights
Exterior styling
The update introduces sharper styling across the Stonic range. The Pure retains halogen lighting and 16-inch alloys, while the GT-Line brings 17-inch wheels, gloss black details, and LED lighting. The flagship GT-Line S adds a panoramic sunroof, privacy glass, and more premium finishes.
Interior upgrades
Inside, the Stonic features a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system as standard, alongside Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 4.2-inch driver display is included on lower trims, while the GT-Line S gains a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and wireless smartphone charging.
Seating materials progress with each trim, from cloth upholstery in the Pure to mixed leather in the GT-Line and heated Nappa-trimmed seats in the GT-Line S.
Technology and safety
Kia has equipped the Stonic generously across all trims, even at entry level. Standard kit includes:
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Lane Keep Assist and Lane Follow Assist
- Intelligent Speed Limit Assist
- Rear parking sensors with reversing camera
- Driver Attention Warning
The GT-Line S builds on this with Highway Driving Assist, Smart Cruise Control with stop/go, electronic parking brake, and front/rear parking sensors.
