2026 Jeep Compass EV First Edition

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2026 Jeep Compass First Edition debuts with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains.

  • Built on Stellantis' STLA Medium platform with up to 375 hp and 650 km of EV range.

  • Features include a 16-inch touchscreen, 20-inch wheels, and Level 2 ADAS.

Design: A Sharper Look with Familiar Attitude

The Compass has always been Jeep’s more refined compact SUV, but the 2026 Jeep Compass EV First Edition tightens things up. There’s more edge to the styling this time — the seven-slot grille is still there, but the LED lighting and chiselled panels give it a crisper, cleaner silhouette.

It’s grown slightly too. At about 4.55 meters long, it’s got a bit more breathing room inside while staying city-friendly. Those flared arches and upright stance still say “Jeep,” just in a more tailored way.

Cabin: Big Screens, Clean Lines

Hop inside, and it’s clear this isn’t just a design refresh. The cabin layout feels more premium, more digital. You’re looking at a 16-inch center screen paired with a 10-inch digital cluster. The layout is horizontal, simple, and avoids trying too hard.

The Jeep Compass EV First Edition model loads up on the kit — think matrix LED headlights, hands-free tailgate, dual-zone climate, and those eye-catching 20-inch wheels. Not flashy, just well-specced.

Powertrains: Pick Your Flavor of Electrification

Jeep’s not hedging bets here — the Compass First Edition offers three electrified options:

  • Mild-hybrid: A 145 hp setup with a 48V system for low-speed efficiency.

  • Plug-in hybrid: Combines a 1.6L engine with an electric motor, good for 195 hp.

  • Battery-electric (BEV): Two configurations — 213 hp (FWD) and 375 hp (AWD). The EV variant uses Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform and claims up to 650 km (WLTP) on a full charge.

Charging for the BEV is solid — 160 kW DC fast charging brings it from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Range anxiety? Probably not.

Safety and Driving Tech

Level 2 driver assistance comes standard on the First Edition. That includes lane centering, adaptive cruise, and some smart highway aids. It’s not trying to drive itself, but it’s doing the grunt work when you want a break.

Market Outlook: Ready for a Broader Net

Jeep plans to start deliveries in Europe in late 2025. Pricing isn’t confirmed, but with the variety of powertrains and features, the Compass is clearly aiming to keep up with rivals like the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid or Hyundai Kona Electric.

It’s not Jeep’s most rugged model, and it doesn’t need to be. The First Edition is more about smart evolution than reinvention.

The 2026 Jeep Compass First Edition is what happens when a brand knows its lane. It updates the formula without losing its identity — sharper looks, more tech, and serious EV options without trying too hard to impress. It feels grounded. And that’s a good place to start.
