The 2026 Jeep Compass EV 4x4 offers up to 375 hp with a dual-motor AWD setup and 650 km of WLTP range.
-
It features Jeep’s most tech-loaded cabin yet with a 16-inch screen, 10-inch cluster, and Level 2 ADAS.
-
European production starts in late 2025, with North American models to follow in 2026.
Exterior Design: Sharper Lines, Familiar Face
You can still spot it as a Compass from a block away, but the 2026 model’s sheetmetal has been reworked with tighter lines and a more planted stance. The signature seven-slot grille remains — slimmer now — and those LED headlights sit like squinted eyes above more defined bumpers.
It’s grown up, too. At 4,550 mm long with wider arches and sharper sculpting, this isn’t the soft-edged SUV it once was. It's got presence now, especially with the First Edition’s 20-inch wheels.
Cabin Layout: Screens, But Still Sensible
Inside, Jeep's leaning into digital without going full spaceship. A 16-inch center touchscreen handles infotainment while a 10-inch digital cluster handles driver info. The layout’s horizontal and clean, and Jeep kept physical controls for climate and volume — smart move.
Features like matrix LED lights, hands-free power tailgate, and dual-zone climate land standard in the First Edition. Materials feel upscale without trying too hard.
Powertrains: Three Flavors, One Platform
The Compass now rides on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, designed with electrification in mind. And it’s flexible:
-
Mild-Hybrid: 145 hp via 48V tech — mostly for efficiency around town.
-
Plug-In Hybrid: 195 hp from a 1.6L engine and e-motor combo.
-
Fully Electric (FWD or AWD): Single-motor FWD version offers 213 hp; the big one, the dual-motor AWD, throws down 375 hp and full-time traction.
That dual-motor version also gets a Jeep-specific rear electric motor that can pull the car up a 20% slope even if the front tires are spinning. Useful? Maybe not often. Cool? Absolutely.
Range and Charging: Solid Stats
Jeep’s not aiming to shock the Tesla crowd, but it gets the numbers right. The AWD version offers up to 650 km of WLTP range; the FWD version comes in around 500 km.
With 160 kW DC fast charging, it’ll go from 20% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes. That’s about one long coffee or a slow grocery run.
Real Jeep Angles: Literally
This is still a Jeep, and they’ve made sure it can back that up. The AWD model gets an approach angle of 27°, breakover at 16°, departure at 31°, and up to 200 mm of ground clearance. It’ll also wade 470 mm of water — not Wrangler territory, but more than most crossovers dare.
Global Rollout: Staggered But Close
First deliveries begin in Europe in late 2025. North America gets it sometime in 2026, with production moving to Brampton, Ontario. No word on pricing yet, but the spec sheet suggests it’s gunning for the mid-to-upper tier of compact electrics.
The 2026 Jeep Compass EV 4x4 doesn’t throw away its roots. It just quietly updates the formula — stronger power, more tech, and enough angles to remind you it’s still got Jeep DNA.
