2027 Smart No.2 Couture Edition

The 2027 Smart No.2 Couture Edition is limited to 999 units for Europe with exclusive Atelier White Matte paint, a Platinum Gold roof and 16-inch Lyra alloy wheels with gold detailing.
Its electric powertrain combines a rear-mounted 60 kW motor with a 35.8 kWh LFP battery, delivering 130 Nm and a preliminary WLTP range of up to 290 km.
Based on the Premium specification, the Couture Edition includes a glass roof, heated seats and steering wheel, Sennheiser audio, wireless charging and a numbered interior badge.
Smart No.2 Couture Edition Debuts at Paris Motor Show
The 2027 Smart No.2 Couture Edition has made its debut alongside the new all-electric Smart #2 at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing a limited-production version of the company's returning two-seat city car.
Only 999 examples are planned for Europe. The Couture Edition sits alongside the Pure, Pure+ and Premium models, adding a distinctive exterior finish and a more extensive standard equipment package.
Thirty years after the original Smart two-seater concept appeared in Paris, the new #2 returns to a familiar formula: compact exterior dimensions, rear-wheel drive and a cabin designed around two occupants.
The Couture Edition follows that approach, with additional attention given to materials, colours and individual identification.
Atelier White Matte Bodywork and Platinum Gold Roof
The Couture Edition is distinguished by its Atelier White Matte paintwork, paired with a contrasting Platinum Gold roof.
Its 16-inch Lyra alloy wheels feature matching gold accents, separating this version from the regular Smart #2 models.
The familiar wheels-at-the-corners arrangement remains, giving the two-seater its short overhangs and upright proportions.
At 2,764 mm long, the Couture Edition is slightly longer than the 2,746 mm Pure, Pure+ and Premium versions.
The design also retains the two-tone body treatment and split tailgate associated with earlier Smart city cars.
Compact Electric Platform With Rear Wheel Drive
Underneath, the Couture Edition uses Smart's newly developed Electric Compact Architecture platform.
Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 60 kW and 130 Nm, driving the rear wheels.
A 35.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides a targeted WLTP range of 290 km.
DC charging supports up to 65 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent recharge in approximately 20 minutes under suitable conditions. AC charging reaches 11 kW.
The compact chassis also introduces a five-link rear suspension and wider rear tyres, while the 6.95-metre turning circle is intended to simplify urban manoeuvring.
Premium Interior With Sennheiser Audio
Inside, the Couture Edition receives the full Premium equipment specification.
Standard features include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and a seven-speaker Sennheiser audio system.
A glass roof is also included, together with navigation and a numbered interior badge identifying the limited edition.
The dashboard uses a 10.1-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch driver display.
An S-shaped cockpit, bench-style seating arrangement and integrated smart Pillar accessory mounting point complete the interior layout.
European Availability and Safety Equipment
The Couture Edition retains the Tridion Cell Evo safety structure, developed specifically for the new Smart #2.
Driver assistance systems include Smart Pilot Assist, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go and Highway Assist.
Vehicle-to-load functionality also allows compatible external devices to draw power through a separately available accessory.
European pricing and delivery dates have not yet been confirmed.
Smart notes that the vehicle remains subject to homologation, meaning the published driving range and technical specifications are preliminary.
