By Lorenzo Bianchi September 17, 2026
The Cayenne Turbo Electric produces up to 1,139 hp and 1,106 lb-ft with Launch Control, reaching 60 mph in 2.4 seconds.
A 113 kWh battery and 800 volt architecture enable up to 400 kW DC charging and a sub 16 minute 10–80 percent charge.
US pricing starts at $163,000 before a $2,350 delivery, processing and handling fee, with deliveries expected from late summer 2026.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric E4 US Version arrives as the performance flagship of Porsche’s new battery-electric Cayenne family.
What is confirmed is unusually serious performance for a large electric SUV. Both launch models use all-wheel drive with electronic Porsche Traction Management, while the Turbo receives its own higher-output drive system.
Turbo Details Set It Apart
The electric Cayenne keeps familiar Porsche proportions: a low hood, slim Matrix Design LED headlights, pronounced front fenders and a gently descending roofline. Frameless doors and strongly formed side skirts sharpen the profile.
Turbo-specific details are more subtle. Turbonite appears on the Porsche crests, alloy wheel faces and side-window trim, with matching accents incorporated into the rear light strip and illuminated Porsche lettering.
Active aero blades at the rear are another Turbo feature. They work with movable cooling flaps, an adaptive roof spoiler, air curtains, an enclosed underbody and aero-focused wheels. Porsche quotes a drag coefficient of 0.25.
1139 HP Changes the Cayenne Formula
With Launch Control active, the Cayenne Turbo Electric delivers 850 kW, or 1,139 hp, and 1,106 lb-ft of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, covers the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds and has a 162 mph top track speed. Normal driving provides up to 844 hp, while Push-to-Pass can add 173 hp for ten seconds.
The rear electric motor uses direct oil cooling, while braking recuperation reaches 600 kW. Porsche says roughly 97 percent of everyday braking can be handled by the electric motors. PCCB ceramic brakes remain optional.
Fast Charging Meets Everyday Utility
A 113 kWh battery sits at the center of the 800 volt system. Under ideal conditions, DC charging reaches 400 kW and 10–80 percent takes less than 16 minutes. US cars receive a J3400 NACS DC port, separate J1772 AC connection and a Porsche CCS DC adapter.
Despite the performance, practicality remains recognizably Cayenne. Cargo capacity reaches 56.1 cu-ft, supplemented by a 3.2 cu-ft front compartment, while properly equipped models can tow up to 7,716 pounds.
Inside, the curved OLED Flow Display is joined by a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display. Physical controls remain for frequently used functions, including climate and audio volume.
