The CX 6e uses a 78 kWh LFP battery and rear mounted 190 kW electric motor producing 258 PS and 290 Nm.
WLTP range reaches 484 km with 19 inch wheels, while 200 kW DC charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 24 minutes.
A 26 inch touchscreen, panoramic roof, 468 litre luggage bay and 80 litre frunk emphasize everyday usability.
The 2027 Mazda CX 6e expands Mazda's European electric lineup with a mid size SUV sitting alongside the Mazda6e. It is a five seat, rear wheel drive EV developed through cooperation between Mazda teams in Europe, Japan and China, with Changan Mazda involved in development and production. European showroom arrivals begin in August 2026, with right hand drive markets following from the end of the year.
Low Roof and Long Wheelbase Shape the CX 6e
At 4,850 mm long, 1,935 mm wide and 1,620 mm tall, the CX 6e has a relatively low silhouette for its footprint. Its 2,902 mm wheelbase pushes the wheels outward, leaving short front and rear overhangs.
The front carries Mazda's signature wing with sequenced illumination for locking, unlocking and charging. Aerodynamic vents channel air through the nose and over the bonnet, while floating D pillars incorporate additional air ducts. Strong shoulder lines, pronounced wheel arches and narrow rear lamps add definition without making the body overly busy.
Wheel choices include 19 inch aerodynamic five spoke alloys and 21 inch double five spoke designs. Most exterior colors are paired with a contrasting black roof.
26 Inch Screen Dominates a Spacious Cabin
Inside, Mazda has taken a more screen led approach than in its familiar combustion models. An asymmetric 26 inch touchscreen stretches across the dashboard with a configurable split layout for driver and passenger. A head up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included.
The five seat cabin provides 990 mm of rear legroom, while a standard 1.05 square metre panoramic glass roof adds light overhead. Takumi Plus also introduces Mazda's first production digital side mirrors.
Rear Motor Delivers 258 PS
A rear mounted electric motor produces 190 kW, or 258 PS, and 290 Nm. Mazda quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds on 19 inch wheels and an electronically limited 185 km/h maximum speed.
The 78 kWh LFP battery provides 484 km of WLTP range on 19 inch wheels, dropping to 468 km with the 21 inch setup. Maximum DC charging power is 200 kW, enabling a 10 to 80 percent recharge in 24 minutes. An 11 kW three phase AC charger is supported.
Practicality Extends Beyond the Cabin
The rear luggage compartment holds 468 litres to the ceiling and expands to 1,434 litres with the second row folded. An 80 litre front compartment provides separate space for charging cables or smaller bags, while braked towing capacity is 1,500 kg.
Mazda has positioned the CX 6e as a European focused electric SUV, with local engineers tuning its suspension, steering, accelerator response, regenerative braking and driver assistance systems. Production takes place in Nanjing, China.
