By Lorenzo Bianchi October 29, 2026
The 2027 Lexus NX 450h+ develops a preliminary 324 hp, an increase of 20 hp over the previous model, with standard E-Four all-wheel drive.
A revised lithium-ion battery provides a manufacturer-estimated 45 miles of electric range, while standard DC fast charging enables a 10–80 percent charge in approximately 35 minutes.
Exterior updates include new dual-line headlights and Double L rear lighting, complemented by a redesigned interior with a standard 14-inch touchscreen.
2027 Lexus NX 450 Plus Introduces Updated Plug In Hybrid
Lexus has revealed the 2027 Lexus NX 450h+, introducing a revised plug-in hybrid powertrain, updated exterior styling and a redesigned cabin for its compact luxury crossover.
The new NX range moves entirely to electrified powertrains for 2027, offering the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid.
For the NX 450h+, the most substantial changes concern electric performance, battery capacity and charging capability. Lexus expects global availability by the end of 2026.
Revised Grille and Double L Rear Lighting
The updated NX retains its familiar crossover silhouette but adopts a wider, lower visual treatment.
A redesigned mesh grille incorporates functional elements more closely into the front fascia, while the headlights introduce a dual-line lighting signature combining daytime running lights and indicators.
Chrome exterior detailing gives way to predominantly black accents on the mirrors and moldings.
At the rear, Lexus introduces its first Double L Signature lighting arrangement, accompanied by an illuminated Lexus emblem.
The exterior colour range also gains Shaded Ivy and Iridium, with Incognito reserved for F SPORT grades.
Updated Suspension and Standard E Four AWD
The NX 450h+ continues with standard E-Four electronic all-wheel drive across its four planned grades.
Revised rear motor control allows continuous all-wheel-drive operation, including during straight-line driving.
Additional body reinforcements, redesigned suspension towers and a new floor cross member improve structural rigidity.
The battery's revised transverse cell arrangement also increases lateral rigidity and lowers the centre of gravity.
F SPORT variants receive distinctive aerodynamic components and lightweight 20-inch aluminium wheels.
Redesigned Interior With 14 Inch Touchscreen
Inside, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display sits alongside the standard 14-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen.
The redesigned steering wheel features horizontal Lexus lettering, while translucent climate controls are integrated into a soft-touch panel.
Ambient lighting extends across the dashboard and door trim.
Luxury and F SPORT grades introduce Sensory Concierge, coordinating illumination, audio, climate, seat temperature and fragrance through three selectable modes.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, together with a wireless phone charger.
324 HP Hybrid System and 45 Mile EV Range
The NX 450h+ combines a revised 2.5-litre petrol engine with upgraded electric motors.
Its front motor now produces 203 hp, while the rear motor develops 54 hp. Preliminary combined system output increases to 324 hp.
Battery output and capacity have each improved by eight percent.
Lexus estimates 45 miles of electric driving range and introduces standard NACS DC fast charging, with a quoted 10–80 percent charging time of 35 minutes.
Four Grades and Global Availability
The NX 450h+ will be offered in Premium, Premium+, F SPORT and Luxury specifications.
Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 is standard throughout the range, bringing updated driver-assistance technologies.
