2027 Lexus NX US Version

The 2027 NX drops conventional gasoline only powertrains in the US, leaving NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug in hybrid models.
NX 450h+ gains a new lithium ion battery with 30 percent greater capacity and standard DC fast charging.
Every grade now receives a 14 inch Lexus Interface touchscreen and Lexus Safety System+ 4.0.
The 2027 Lexus NX US Version arrives with a more substantial update than its familiar shape initially suggests. Lexus has revised the compact luxury crossover's exterior and cabin, strengthened its structure and introduced its latest hybrid technology. More significantly for the US lineup, every NX is now electrified.
Buyers will choose between the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug in hybrid. Lexus plans Premium, Premium+, F SPORT and Luxury grades, although pricing will be announced closer to launch.
Familiar NX Shape Gets a Sharper Face
The basic NX proportions remain intact. Lexus has kept the sporty side profile but altered the details around it, with a wide, low stance and more of the lighting and functional hardware incorporated into the grille.
The headlights now combine the turn signals and daytime running lights into a dual line signature. At the back, Lexus introduces its first Double L Signature rear lamps, paired with an illuminated Lexus logo. Chrome exterior detailing has largely given way to black trim.
F SPORT versions go further with specific front under spoilers, side pontoons and rear corner elements. They also receive 20 inch lightweight aluminum wheels and red brake calipers.
New Hybrid Hardware Sits Lower in the Chassis
The bigger changes are underneath. Lexus' latest hybrid system uses a compact e Axle integrating the transaxle, motor and power control unit. Silicon carbide semiconductors are used in the inverter, while the smaller assembly helps lower the vehicle's center of gravity.
For the NX 450h+, a newly developed lithium ion battery provides an 8 percent increase in output and 30 percent more capacity. Its cells are now arranged transversely, allowing the battery to sit lower while also contributing to lateral body rigidity. DC fast charging becomes standard on PHEV grades.
Lexus has not provided final US horsepower, electric range, charging times or fuel economy figures in the supplied material.
Chassis Changes Target a More Controlled Drive
Structural reinforcement extends across the front, rear, floor and suspension towers. Lexus has also revised the steering, reducing wheel diameter to 14.2 inches and adopting Variable Rack Gear across the range.
E Four AWD receives revised rear motor control, allowing continuous all wheel drive during straight line driving as well as launches, cornering and low traction situations.
Standard 14 Inch Screen Changes the Cabin
Inside, a 12.3 inch digital instrument display sits horizontally alongside the now standard 14 inch Lexus Interface touchscreen. Ambient lighting runs from the dashboard into the doors, visually widening the cabin.
Select Luxury and F SPORT models add Sensory Concierge, which coordinates lighting, audio, climate settings, seat temperature and fragrance through three selectable modes.
Practical technology also expands. A built in Drive Recorder uses the vehicle's exterior cameras as a dashcam, while Digital Key is available. Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 is standard across the range.
The result keeps the NX recognizable while shifting its US positioning decisively toward hybrid power, with the NX 450h+ remaining the plug in alternative for buyers wanting external charging capability.
