The new Gamma revives Lancia's 1976 flagship name as a 4.67-metre fastback crossover, built at the Stellantis plant in Melfi, Italy.
Powertrain options include a 145 hp hybrid and electric versions producing 230 hp, 245 hp and up to 375 hp.
The cabin features 10.25-inch and 16-inch displays, a 560-litre boot, SALA technology and 25 per cent more second-row legroom.
The 2027 Lancia Gamma has made its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, bringing back a name last associated with the Italian manufacturer's flagship models of the 1970s.
The new Gamma takes a different direction from its predecessor. Rather than a conventional saloon, it arrives as a fastback crossover positioned in Europe's C-SUV segment, with hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
Designed, developed and manufactured in Italy, the model forms part of Lancia's wider renewal programme, following the introduction of the new Ypsilon.
Illuminated Calice Grille And T Shaped Rear Lighting
The Gamma's front end incorporates Lancia's illuminated Calice signature, accompanied by sculpted body surfaces and an active front grille.
At the rear, a T-shaped lighting arrangement provides a recognisable design feature. The fastback tail also incorporates a split rear spoiler and aerodynamic fins positioned above the distinctive louvred elements.
Aerodynamics have influenced much of the exterior treatment.
Lancia quotes a drag coefficient of 0.25, supported by Aero wheels and a rolling resistance figure of 4.7 kg per tonne.
Fastback Proportions And Sculpted Bodywork
The Gamma measures 4.67 metres long, 1.89 metres wide and 1.63 metres tall.
Its roofline descends towards a tapered rear, creating a profile that differs from more upright SUVs in the segment.
The body combines a raised crossover stance with a relatively streamlined upper section.
Underneath sits Stellantis' STLA Medium multi-energy architecture, allowing Lancia to offer combustion-assisted and fully electric drivetrains within the same model family.
Italian Home Feeling Interior And SALA Technology
Inside, Lancia has followed its Italian Home Feeling design approach.
The cabin incorporates a central coffee-table-inspired element, Lancia Glow ambient lighting and a panoramic roof.
Digital equipment includes 10.25-inch and 16-inch displays, accompanied by a head-up display with a virtual 21-inch projection.
The SALA HUB system supports natural voice interaction using ChatGPT-based technology. Relax, Energize and Entertainment settings adjust the onboard environment.
A 14-speaker Focal audio system is also specified.
More than 60 per cent of the interior's visible surfaces use environmentally focused materials, including fabrics containing up to 100 per cent recycled content.
Hybrid And Electric Versions Offer Different Ranges
The entry-level hybrid produces 145 hp and offers a quoted driving range exceeding 1,000 km.
Electric versions include a 230 hp model with more than 540 km of range and a 245 hp configuration exceeding 740 km.
The range-topping HF Integrale uses two electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing up to 375 hp and 509 Nm.
Lancia quotes 0–100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and up to 676 km of range for the HF Integrale.
560 Litre Boot And Italian Production
The Gamma offers 25 per cent more second-row legroom and a 560-litre luggage compartment. Electric versions support 20–80 per cent fast charging in 27 minutes, one-pedal driving and vehicle-to-load functionality.
Level 2 driver assistance includes assisted lane changes and predictive adaptive cruise control. Production takes place at Melfi, where Stellantis has invested €43 million in plant upgrades.
