2027 Geely Battleship 700

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Battleship 700 is scheduled to join Geely's Australian range in the second half of 2027.

  • Overseas specification combines a 2.0-liter turbo engine, 47 kWh battery and tri-motor AWD for 830 kW.

  • Off-road hardware includes 233 mm of ground clearance, 20-inch wheels and an 800 mm wading capability.

The 2027 Geely Battleship 700 is heading to Australia as part of a six-model expansion planned by Geely for 2027. It sits at the rugged end of that rollout, positioned as a five-seat, off-road-focused plug-in hybrid SUV rather than another road-biased family crossover.

Geely has already put the Battleship 700 on display at the Everything Electric Show in Sydney, alongside the MONJARO EM-i and Emgrand L EM-i. Its Australian launch is planned for the second half of 2027.

Tall Stance Built Around Off Road Use

The supplied material does not provide overall length, width or wheelbase figures, but the mechanical details give a clearer idea of the Battleship 700's purpose. Ground clearance measures 233 mm, while the SUV rides on 20-inch wheels.

Water crossings are also part of the brief. Geely quotes a maximum wading depth of 800 mm. A feature called “Waltz” U-Turn is designed to improve maneuverability by allowing the vehicle to turn on the spot.

Detailed exterior styling descriptions are absent from the supplied release, so specific grille, lighting and bodywork details remain [Unverified].

Tri Motor Hybrid Produces 830 kW

The overseas-market specification uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine together with a 47 kWh battery. The plug-in hybrid system employs three electric motors and all-wheel drive with an integrated differential lock.

Combined system output is rated at a substantial 830 kW. Geely also quotes up to 170 km of pure-electric driving, although the release does not specify the testing standard for that figure.

Those figures currently describe the overseas version. Geely says the final Australian specification will be announced closer to launch, so local output, battery capacity and equipment remain subject to confirmation.

Five Seat Cabin Gets Dual Screens

Inside, the Battleship 700 uses a five-seat layout and combines a 12.3-inch display with a larger 15.6-inch screen. A panoramic sunroof is also listed.

There is an unusual practical feature between the seats: a center-console compartment capable of heating and cooling its contents. Independent rear air conditioning and a 23-speaker audio system are also included in the overseas specification.

Pricing has not been announced. With its tri-motor system, substantial battery and dedicated off-road features, the Battleship 700 will occupy the adventure-focused end of Geely Australia's expanding electrified lineup when it arrives in 2027.
