Ford introduces the first-ever Super Duty Carhartt Package for 2027.
Package includes unique graphics, Carhartt-inspired interior trim, and off-road hardware.
Available on XLT Crew Cab single-rear-wheel 4x4 models starting May 8.
Ford gives the Super Duty a workwear identity
The 2027 Ford F-350 Super Duty Carhartt feels less like a flashy appearance package and more like something designed by people who actually use trucks every day.
Ford has partnered with Carhartt before, but this marks the first time the workwear brand gets its own dedicated Super Duty package. The idea is straightforward enough. Take one of Ford’s hardest-working pickups and layer in details inspired by jackets, tool bags, construction sites, and jobsite durability.
Unlike many lifestyle-themed truck editions, this one does not drift too far into chrome-heavy territory. It stays restrained.
Exterior styling leans practical rather than flashy
The visual changes are noticeable immediately, though Ford avoided overdoing them.
A dark-painted grille, textured off-road running boards, Carhartt-branded graphics, and unique 20-inch wheels separate the package from a regular Super Duty XLT. The truck also receives all-terrain tires and several LED lighting upgrades including roof marker lamps, fog lamps, reflector lamps, and a high-mounted stop lamp.
The graphics deserve mention because they are not just decorative stickers slapped onto the doors.
Ford says the textured lower-body graphics were intentionally placed where trucks typically collect road debris, mud, and salt exposure. That gives the package a slightly more functional feel than most themed trim packages on the market today.
Even the wheel design has a story behind it.
According to Ford, designers drew inspiration from industrial textures surrounding Carhartt’s Detroit flagship store, including local manhole covers. It sounds oddly specific, but the machined wheel design does fit the truck’s industrial character surprisingly well.
The available color palette also stays conservative. Marsh Gray, Agate Black, Oxford White, and the new Neptune Blue shade all suit the truck’s work-focused personality.
Cabin details borrow heavily from Carhartt gear
Inside, the connection to Carhartt becomes more obvious.
The seats use unique cloth upholstery inspired by the company’s well-known Duck Canvas material, paired with triple-stitch accents that mirror Carhartt workwear construction. Embroidered logos appear on the headrests and rear map pockets, while the center console and steering wheel gain contrasting stitched details.
Ford even designed the all-weather floor mats around textures found in Carhartt tool bags.
That could sound gimmicky on paper. In person, though, the cabin appears more durable than decorative based on the released images. The materials look like they were chosen to survive dirty boots and actual use rather than occasional weekend hauling. [Inference]
Built for owners who actually use their trucks
Mechanically, the package does not alter the Super Duty platform underneath, though the included FX4 compatibility and off-road hardware reinforce the truck’s intended role.
The Tough Bed spray-in liner with a Carhartt logo is another detail that feels appropriately honest for a truck like this. Ford clearly understands that most Super Duty owners are not buying these pickups to keep the bed spotless.
Ford says the package targets buyers who need a truck capable of weekday work duties while still fitting into family and recreational use on weekends. That middle ground has become increasingly important in the heavy-duty segment.
