By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The 2027 Fiat Grizzly Fastback makes its European debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, combining a distinctive Fastback silhouette with a body measuring less than 4.5 metres long.

  • Its 608-litre luggage compartment exceeds the standard Grizzly's 545 litres, while both models offer 3.5 m³ of overall interior space.

  • Petrol, hybrid and electric versions are planned, with European orders opening on January 5, 2027. The La Prima show car features a 145 hp mild-hybrid powertrain.

Fiat Grizzly Fastback Makes Its European Debut in Paris

The 2027 Fiat Grizzly Fastback has made its European debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, joining the standard Grizzly as part of Fiat's return to larger family cars.

The two models share much of their underlying philosophy, particularly the emphasis on usable interior space within relatively compact exterior dimensions. The Fastback, however, takes a slightly different approach.

Rather than following the more conventional shape of the regular Grizzly, it introduces a more dynamic rear profile while offering additional luggage capacity.

Both vehicles are intended for more than 100 countries across three global regions, with European orders scheduled to begin in January 2027.

Fastback Silhouette With Compact Exterior Dimensions

The Grizzly Fastback measures less than 4.5 metres long, placing it within the compact family car category despite its larger-car positioning.

Its main visual distinction is the Fastback silhouette, which separates it from the more practicality-focused standard Grizzly.

The different roofline gives Fiat another body style for customers who prefer a more streamlined appearance without moving to a significantly larger vehicle.

The manufacturer has not provided exact exterior dimensions, wheelbase figures or detailed descriptions of the lighting design in the supplied announcement.

At the Paris Motor Show, the Fastback is displayed in La Prima specification alongside the regular Grizzly.

608 Litre Boot Offers More Space Than the Grizzly

Despite its different rear profile, the Fastback offers the larger luggage compartment of the two models.

Boot capacity reaches 608 litres, compared with 545 litres in the standard Grizzly.

Fiat claims this makes the Fastback the most spacious vehicle in its category among models measuring less than 4.5 metres long.

Both versions also provide 3.5 cubic metres of overall interior space.

That combination makes luggage capacity one of the Fastback's main selling points, particularly for families travelling with larger amounts of equipment.

Detailed seating arrangements, dashboard technology and interior materials have not yet been announced.

145 HP Mild Hybrid and Electric Powertrain Options

The Grizzly Fastback will be offered with petrol, hybrid and fully electric powertrains, alongside manual and automatic transmission options across the range.

The La Prima version displayed in Paris uses a 145 hp mild-hybrid powertrain.

Fiat has not yet disclosed detailed engine specifications, battery capacities, charging speeds or electric driving range.

The manufacturer says all powertrain options will be available when European orders open, rather than being introduced gradually.

European Orders Begin January 2027

Fiat is targeting a starting price of approximately €20,000 for the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback range.

European order books are scheduled to open on January 5, 2027, followed by the first international media drive in February.

The Fastback will join a Fiat lineup that already includes the Grande Panda, 500 Cabrio and 600 Sport.

For buyers considering the two Grizzly body styles, the main confirmed differences are the exterior silhouette and luggage capacity, with the Fastback offering an additional 63 litres of boot space.
