Fiat Grizzly Arrives in Paris as a New Family Car

The 2027 Fiat Grizzly has made its European debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, marking the Italian manufacturer's return to larger family cars. Presented alongside the Grizzly Fastback, the new model focuses on passenger space, practical dimensions and a choice of powertrains.

Fiat is positioning both vehicles as family-oriented alternatives within its expanding lineup, with sales planned across more than 100 countries in three global regions.

The Grizzly takes the more conventional approach, concentrating on interior flexibility and luggage capacity, while the Fastback introduces a different rear silhouette.

Both models are scheduled to open for European orders in January 2027.

Compact Exterior Dimensions With Family Car Space

Despite its family-focused positioning, the Grizzly measures less than 4.5 metres long.

Fiat has designed the vehicle around efficient use of space, quoting an overall interior volume of 3.5 cubic metres.

The Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback share this emphasis on packaging, although their exterior profiles differ.

The standard Grizzly prioritises practicality, whereas the Fastback adopts a more dynamic silhouette.

Fiat has not provided exact exterior dimensions, wheelbase measurements or detailed descriptions of the front and rear lighting arrangements in the supplied announcement.

Both vehicles are displayed in La Prima specification at the Paris Motor Show.

545 Litre Boot Designed for Everyday Use

Luggage capacity is one of the main differences between the two models.

The standard Grizzly offers 545 litres of boot space, providing room for everyday shopping, family belongings and luggage for longer journeys.

The Fastback increases that figure to 608 litres, despite its differently shaped rear bodywork.

Fiat describes the latter as having the largest luggage compartment in its category among vehicles measuring less than 4.5 metres.

The manufacturer has not yet detailed the Grizzly's dashboard arrangement, seating configuration or infotainment technology.

Those specifications remain important unanswered questions ahead of the first international media drive.

Petrol, Hybrid and Electric Powertrain Options

The Grizzly range will be offered with petrol, hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

Manual and automatic transmissions are also planned, giving buyers different options depending on their driving requirements.

At the Paris presentation, Fiat is displaying the Grizzly La Prima with a 145 hp mild-hybrid powertrain.

Technical specifications for the remaining engines and electric versions, including battery capacity, charging performance and driving range, have not been disclosed in the supplied release.

European Orders Open in January 2027

Fiat is targeting a starting price of approximately €20,000 for the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback range.

European orders are scheduled to open on January 5, 2027, with all powertrain options available from the beginning.

The first international media drive will follow in February.

With the Grizzly, Fiat is extending its lineup beyond smaller urban models such as the Grande Panda, offering a larger family vehicle without moving beyond the compact dimensions that remain central to the brand's approach.
