Ferrari's first electric model has gained an even more exclusive variant. The 2027 Ferrari Luce Collector's Edition has been built as a one off through the company's Tailor Made program and carries a detail that collectors will immediately notice. It is based on Chassis 0, the first production chassis in the Luce series. Rather than heading to a private customer directly, the car will be auctioned in the United States, with proceeds supporting Ferrari's educational charity initiatives.
The Luce itself already marks an important point in Ferrari's history as the company's first fully electric production model. This special edition goes a step further, showing how the brand plans to approach personalization in the EV era without moving away from its craftsmanship.
Tailor Made Details Define The Exterior
Nothing about the finish appears accidental. Ferrari developed an exclusive matte mother of pearl paint specifically for this project using pigments from its Tailor Made collection. Depending on how the light hits the surface, the body shifts between green and purple tones, giving the car a noticeably different appearance throughout the day.
The matte finish also helps highlight the body's flowing surfaces instead of covering them with reflections. Custom wheels, unique brake calipers and bespoke Ferrari badging complete the exterior, ensuring this example stands apart from every other Luce.
A Cabin That Chooses Restraint
The interior takes a different approach from many modern luxury EVs. Ferrari replaces the usual dark cabin theme with pearl colored leather and a coordinated grey palette inspired by what it describes as "light and shadow."
Technology remains present, but it stays in the background. Four Samsung OLED displays are integrated into the dashboard and cabin, including digital instrumentation, the central infotainment display, a rear control screen and a multifunction display capable of showing a clock, compass or chronograph. OLED technology also allows the screens to remain thinner while reducing energy consumption.
Electric Performance Remains Central
Beneath the bespoke finishes sits Ferrari's own 800 volt electric platform. Two motors power the front axle and another two drive the rear, combining for a total output of 772 kW (1,050 hp) and 990 Nm of torque.
A 122 kWh battery provides a claimed 530 km CLTC driving range. Fast charging reaches 350 kW, allowing around 70 kWh of energy to be replenished in approximately 20 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
More Than A Collector's Piece
Ferrari describes this Luce as a unique creation rather than the beginning of a production series. Even so, it offers an early indication of how future bespoke electric Ferraris could be configured through the Tailor Made program.
Its auction gives the car another layer of significance. Beyond showcasing Ferrari's first electric platform, the project also supports the company's educational charity work, making this one off model notable for reasons that extend beyond its performance figures.
