The 2027 Denza B5 UK Version marks a significant step in Denza's European expansion, becoming the premium brand's first SUV for the region. Revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the five-seat model combines plug-in hybrid efficiency with genuine off-road capability, offering an alternative to established premium SUVs without abandoning everyday usability.
A Rugged Design with Everyday Appeal
There's no mistaking the B5's purpose. Its upright stance, squared-off proportions and crisp body lines give it a confident presence, while practical details such as roof rails, integrated side steps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel reinforce its off-road credentials. Ring-shaped LED headlights frame a dark grille carrying the Denza badge, and skid plates at both ends hint that this SUV is designed for more than city streets.
Despite measuring almost 4.9 metres long, the B5 has been shaped to remain manageable in daily driving. A long wheelbase also helps create a spacious interior without making the SUV feel unnecessarily bulky.
Technology Takes Centre Stage Inside
Open the doors and the cabin feels functional as much as luxurious. Horizontal dashboard lines, sturdy grab handles and physical controls give the interior a robust character, while a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument display, passenger display and head-up display bring modern technology into the mix. Google built-in services, a four-zone voice assistant and an available 18-speaker Devialet audio system complete the experience.
Comfort hasn't been overlooked either. Heated and ventilated seats, massage functions, Nappa leather on higher trims, generous storage solutions and a cooled and heated centre console compartment make the B5 feel well prepared for long journeys.
Plug In Hybrid Power Meets Serious Off Road Ability
The B5 uses Denza's DMO plug-in hybrid system, pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with front and rear electric motors. Combined output reaches 544 PS and 760 Nm of torque, enough to propel the SUV from 0-62 mph in as little as 4.8 seconds while maintaining a top speed of 112 mph.
Underneath, a ladder-frame chassis, front and rear electronic differential locks, an energy centre lock and available DiSus-P hydraulic suspension work together to improve traction across difficult terrain. The suspension can also raise ground clearance by up to 90 mm, helping the B5 tackle steeper obstacles when the road disappears.
Ready for European Buyers
Efficiency remains an important part of the package. The 31.8 kWh Blade Battery provides up to 56 miles of electric-only driving, while total WLTP range reaches 537 miles. Standard 11 kW AC charging and 100 kW DC charging help reduce downtime between journeys.
Denza says European order books will open during the summer, with first customer deliveries expected before the end of the year. As the brand's first SUV in Europe, the 2027 Denza B5 UK Version enters a competitive market by combining long-distance capability, modern cabin technology and genuine off-road engineering in one package.
