2027 Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition uses a modified 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 900 hp and 1,250 Nm, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 280 km/h.

  • Based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 W 465, the pickup receives a 50 cm longer wheelbase, carbon fibre WIDESTAR bodywork, 24-inch Monoblock II EVO wheels and a purpose-built cargo bed.

  • Production is limited to 10 individually configured vehicles, featuring black leather, Alcantara and ROCKET RED interior accents. The example presented is priced at €711,718 excluding German VAT.

Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition Returns With 900 HP

BRABUS has introduced a new P 900 Rocket Edition, turning the current Mercedes-AMG G 63 into a four-door pickup with 900 hp and an extended wheelbase. Only ten examples will be built worldwide.

The supplied BRABUS release identifies the vehicle as a new-generation model based on the W 465 G-Class but does not assign a model year.

Carbon Fibre Widebody and 24 Inch Wheels

The front receives a carbon fibre fascia with large air intakes, an integrated spoiler and an illuminated grille surround carrying two red stripes. A raised Powerdome sits on the bonnet. Exposed-carbon wheel arch extensions continue the treatment down both sides.

The wheels are 24-inch Monoblock II EVO three-spoke designs with carbon aeroblades. Front tyres measure 295/30 ZR 24, while the rear uses wider 345/25 ZR 24 rubber. Four chrome exhaust outlets emerge ahead of the rear wheels.

Extended Wheelbase and Purpose Built Cargo Bed

At 5.38 metres long, 2.06 metres wide and 2.05 metres high, the P 900 measures 68.9 cm longer than a standard G 63 without its rear-mounted spare wheel.

BRABUS lengthens the ladder frame and wheelbase by 50 cm, repositioning the rear suspension to make room for the bed. A steel bulkhead separates it from the four-door cabin; its floor and side-opening tailgate are metal, while the side panels use carbon fibre.

Soft-teak decking with red lettering and two lockable waterproof storage boxes make the rear area more than a visual conversion. The Ride Control coilover suspension lowers the vehicle by around 45 mm compared with the base G 63.

Leather, Alcantara and Rocket Red Interior Accents

Inside, black leather and Alcantara cover the cabin, with quilted, ventilated seat centres and matching door panels. Red stitching, piping and ROCKET RED controls contrast with carbon fibre trim.

The rear doors can open to 90 degrees for easier access. Rear passengers also have a dedicated display for vehicle speed, engine revs and other driving information. Paddle shifters carry coloured LEDs to indicate when to change gear manually.

4.5 Litre V8 Produces 900 Horsepower

The standard G 63 V8 is enlarged to 4,407 cc with forged pistons, a new crankshaft and upgraded twin turbochargers. BRABUS quotes 900 hp at 6,200 rpm and a peak 1,250 Nm at 2,900 rpm, although torque is electronically capped at 1,050 Nm in the vehicle.

Through a nine-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive, the pickup reaches 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Top speed is limited to 280 km/h.

Ten Examples and a €711,718 Display Vehicle

Each of the ten examples is built to individual customer requirements. BRABUS lists the displayed vehicle at €711,718 as a German export price excluding VAT.

Its functional pickup hardware distinguishes it from conventional G-Class derivatives, while limited production and individual upholstery finishes place it within BRABUS's coachbuilt Masterpiece range.
