2027 BMW i7 60 xDrive G70 Receives Neue Klasse Updates
BMW has introduced the 2027 BMW i7 60 xDrive G70 as part of its extensively updated 7 Series range, bringing revised exterior styling, sixth-generation battery technology and a redesigned digital interior.
The electric luxury sedan debuted alongside the wider 7 Series lineup on April 22, 2026, at events in New York and Beijing.
The changes extend beyond the cabin. BMW has also revised the electric drivetrain's efficiency and charging capability.
Redesigned Kidney Grille and Split Headlights
The updated i7 adopts a slimmer, more upright Iconic Glow kidney grille featuring horizontal illumination.
A revised BMW badge sits between sculpted bonnet lines, while narrow upper lighting elements contain the daytime running lights and indicators.
The main headlights remain positioned lower in the front fascia.
Optional BMW Individual crystal headlights incorporate twelve crystal elements per side, creating a different lighting appearance when illuminated.
Elongated Sedan Profile and Revised Rear Lighting
The i7 retains the long, formal proportions of the seventh-generation BMW 7 Series.
A character line runs from the front apron along the lower doors, adding definition without interrupting the broad body surfaces.
Flush-mounted door handles maintain the clean side profile.
At the rear, newly designed slim taillights extend towards the outer corners, incorporating smoked glass and chrome internal detailing.
Optional M Sport packages introduce revised bumpers, darker exterior trim and alternative alloy wheels.
Panoramic iDrive and Rear Passenger Entertainment
The redesigned cabin centres on BMW Panoramic iDrive with Operating System X.
Panoramic Vision projects information across the lower windscreen, supported by a floating 17.9-inch Central Display.
A 14.6-inch Passenger Screen is standard, allowing the front passenger to access entertainment independently.
Rear occupants can specify a 31.3-inch Theater Screen with 8K resolution, integrated Zoom video calling and HDMI connectivity.
BMW also offers Executive Lounge seating with an integrated leg rest and reclining adjustment.

Faster Charging & Everyday Usability
DC charging capability increases to 250 kW, enabling a 10–80 percent recharge in approximately 28 minutes at suitable charging stations.
A standard NACS charging port provides access to compatible charging infrastructure.
Adaptive recuperation can adjust braking energy recovery according to traffic conditions, while charging-aware navigation plans stops along longer journeys.
US Pricing and Production
The 2027 BMW i7 60 xDrive starts at $124,700 in the United States, excluding the $1,550 destination charge.
It sits above the 449 hp i7 50 xDrive, which starts at $106,200.
Production begins in July 2026 at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in Germany.
