The updated i7 introduces sixth-generation cylindrical battery cells, DC charging up to 250 kW, BMW Panoramic iDrive and a standard 14.6-inch Passenger Screen.

BMW has introduced the updated 2027 i7 50 xDrive, combining its revised electric powertrain with Neue Klasse digital technology and a redesigned exterior.
The 2027 BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport Package Pro G70 pairs the entry-level electric drivetrain with the optional M Sport Package Professional, which adds dedicated styling and braking components.
The updated 7 Series debuted on April 22, 2026, with production scheduled to begin at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in July.
Darkened Iconic Glow Grille and M Aerodynamics
The front introduces a slimmer, more upright Iconic Glow kidney grille with horizontal lighting graphics.
Narrow daytime running lights sit above the main headlights, while optional BMW Individual crystal headlights incorporate twelve crystal glass elements per side.
M Sport Package Professional adds darkened grille detailing, M-specific bumpers with enlarged air curtains and extended Shadowline exterior trim.
The package also includes darker rear lights and a black M rear spoiler, distinguishing the electric sedan from the standard specification.
21 Inch M Wheels and Extended Sedan Profile
The i7 retains the seventh-generation 7 Series body, characterised by broad surfaces, an elongated profile and flush-mounted door handles.
A character line runs from the front apron along the lower body towards the rear.
The M Sport Package Professional introduces dark-finished 21-inch M aerodynamic wheels and black-painted M Sport brake calipers.
Gloss-black window surrounds and mirror bases provide further contrast, while the redesigned rear lights feature slim housings and smoked glass detailing.
Panoramic Vision and M Sport Interior
Inside, BMW Panoramic Vision projects driving information across the lower windscreen.
A floating 17.9-inch Central Display runs BMW Operating System X, accompanied by a standard 14.6-inch front Passenger Screen.
The M Sport Package Professional adds an M steering wheel, while optional Carbon Fiber M interior trim features Silver Threads.
Rear passengers can specify a 31.3-inch BMW Theater Screen with 8K resolution, integrated Zoom video calling and HDMI connectivity.
Executive Lounge seating is also available, providing extended reclining adjustment and an integrated leg rest.
