2027 Bentley Supersports Dragon Red

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Bentley debuted its new Design Theme by Mulliner — described as the marque's boldest specification yet — on the Supersports at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026.

  • The Dragon theme introduces Bentley's first side-to-side paint fade, blending Dragon Red II on the driver's side into Black Crystal on the passenger side, carried through to a duo-tone Hotspur and Beluga leather cabin.

  • Design Theme by Mulliner spans three curated themes — Dragon, Electric and Brodgar — with the package itself priced at €82,960 (basic, pre-tax) on this build.

Bentley's Boldest Specification Debuts at Goodwood

Bentley used the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed to introduce Design Theme by Mulliner, a new specification the brand's own materials call its "boldest specification yet" for the Supersports. It's exclusive to that model, offered across three curated themes — Dragon, Electric and Brodgar — and this particular build is finished in Dragon. The Supersports itself isn't confirmed as a 2027 model-year car anywhere in Bentley's documentation for this build [Unverified], so that label should be treated with caution rather than taken as fact.

A Paint Fade Bentley Hasn't Done Before

The headline feature is a side-to-side ombré paint job, which Bentley describes as a first for the marque. Dragon Red II on the driver's side fades into Black Crystal on the passenger side — a left-right split rather than the front-to-back fades more commonly seen elsewhere in the industry. Carbon fibre styling elements and blackware trim run across the rest of the body, and the car sits on 22-inch Supersports Forged Alloy Wheels finished in Gloss Black with a diamond-machined face.

Proportions and Stance

Bentley's document doesn't include dimensions, wheelbase or ride-height figures for this build [Unverified], so there's nothing further to add on how the car sits beyond the wheel and paint detail above.

A Cabin That Carries the Fade Inside

The two-tone idea continues into the cabin rather than stopping at the paintwork. Hotspur and Beluga leather cover the seats in a duo-tone layout, with High Gloss Carbon Fibre fascias and door waistrails, and contrast stitching and accents running through both colours. It reads as a deliberate extension of the exterior fade rather than a separate design exercise.

Powertrain and Performance

Bentley's specification sheet for this build doesn't include engine, power or performance figures. The material published here is focused specifically on the Design Theme by Mulliner options rather than the underlying Supersports mechanicals, so this piece can't responsibly add numbers that aren't there.

Practical Usability and Pricing

Design Theme by Mulliner is listed as an €82,960 option (basic, pre-tax) on this build, alongside Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tyres at €2,500. Bentley's document also quotes a €352,941 price for the car, but it doesn't clarify whether that figure already includes those two options or represents a separate base price for the Supersports  — worth confirming with Bentley directly before publishing a final as-tested total.

Market Position

Design Theme by Mulliner sits above Bentley's standard colour and trim choices as a dedicated personalisation tier, available only on Supersports and only through Mulliner. With three curated fade combinations to choose from, it's positioned as a step beyond the five standard Supersports Design Themes covered elsewhere in Bentley's configurator materials, aimed at buyers who want a genuinely one-off-looking car rather than a factory-standard finish. Bentley's release doesn't name any competing marques or rival specifications.
