2027 Bentley Supersports
By Lorenzo Bianchi November 14, 2025
Rear-wheel drive and sub-two-tonne weight debut on a Continental GT for the first time.
New 666 PS twin-turbo V8 and full titanium exhaust deliver purist ICE performance.
Strictly limited to 500 individually numbered cars with extensive carbon-aero revisions.
Design Focused on Aerodynamics and Weight Reduction
The 2027 Bentley Supersports arrives with a clear brief: maximum driver engagement, delivered through reduced mass, sharpened aerodynamics, and a return to pure internal-combustion performance. The surfaces show a more assertive evolution of the Continental GT, with every new element serving either stability, airflow, or weight efficiency.
The front bumper is entirely new, integrating the largest splitter Bentley has ever fitted to a production car. Along the flanks, stacked dive planes, extended sills, and B-shaped fender blades make the body appear lower and wider. At the rear, a fixed wing and full diffuser define its stance. Bentley confirms these components generate over 300 kg more downforce than the Continental GT Speed.
Even the roof is replaced by a carbon-fibre panel, lowering the centre of gravity and cutting mass. Combined with deleted rear seating and trimmed insulation, the Supersports becomes the lightest Bentley in 85 years, weighing under two tonnes.
A Strengthened Twin-Turbo V8 as the Centrepiece
Bentley retains a non-hybrid approach for the Supersports, building a strengthened version of its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. It produces 666 PS and 800 Nm, delivered solely to the rear axle through an upgraded eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine breathes through a full-length titanium exhaust co-developed with Akrapovič, described as the most characterful system Bentley has ever fitted to a V8 model.
The official acceleration figure stands at 3.7 seconds to 62 mph, with a projected top speed of around 192 mph; final certification will follow. Bentley emphasises dynamic behaviour over headline numbers, arguing that the rear-drive configuration enables sharper turn-in and a more communicative chassis.
Chassis Engineering with Motorsport Intent
The Supersports adopts a fully revised chassis strategy. A wider rear track, eLSD, torque-vectoring by brake, and recalibrated rear-wheel steering work together to create greater agility. With optional Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres, Bentley states the car can generate up to 1.3 g of lateral acceleration, roughly 30 percent more than a GT Speed.
The braking package is the largest fitted to any production Bentley: 440 mm carbon-silicon-carbide discs with 10-piston front calipers, and 410 mm discs at the rear. New 22-inch forged wheels developed with Manthey Racing further reduce unsprung mass.
Interior Stripped for Purpose
Inside, Bentley deletes the rear seats entirely, replacing them with a carbon-fibre tub trimmed in leather. Two new lightweight sports seats sit lower in the cabin, with increased bolstering and carbon shoulder sections. Material choices range from leather to Dinamica, with extensive carbon trim standard. Each Supersports is individually numbered.
Positioning and Production Timeline
Limited to 500 units, the 2027 Bentley Supersports will be offered in selected global markets. Orders open in March 2026, with production scheduled for Q4 2026 and first deliveries beginning in early 2027.
