2027 Alfa Romeo Tonale Luna Rossa

Tonale Luna Rossa gets a new gray finish, Gloss Black body details and exclusive 20 inch Gloss Black wheels.
The cabin introduces 3D Knit seat upholstery, a technology used for the first time within Stellantis.
Powertrain choices include a 175 hp Hybrid, 130 hp Diesel and 270 hp Plug In Hybrid Q4.
The 2027 Alfa Romeo Tonale Luna Rossa brings the Italian brand's America's Cup partnership into its compact SUV range. Revealed in Napoli ahead of the second Preliminary Regatta for the 2027 America's Cup, the Tonale is part of an Edizione Luna Rossa family that also includes Junior, Giulia and Stelvio.
Alfa Romeo says the special series will progressively reach European markets and sit at the top of each model's range.
Sailing Colors Reshape The Tonale Look
The Tonale's basic proportions remain familiar. Its distinction comes through color and trim rather than major body changes. A new gray exterior finish takes inspiration from the Personal Flotation Devices worn by the Luna Rossa team, while black and white are alternative body colors.
A Luna Rossa liner runs along the side, accompanied by a dedicated red Alfa Romeo logo. Gloss Black body kit elements add contrast around the exterior. The most obvious hardware change is at wheel level: Tonale receives new 20 inch Gloss Black alloys exclusive to the Luna Rossa edition.
Red Brembo brake calipers sit behind them as part of the standard sports braking system.
3D Knit Seats Lead The Cabin Changes
Inside, Alfa Romeo continues the dark and red color theme. Tonale uses premium fabric seats carrying the Luna Rossa logo, with tone on tone gray stitching across the dashboard and door panels. Black trim appears on the center console, doors and air vents.
The notable material change is 3D Knit upholstery. Alfa Romeo says the continuous thread process creates a structured three dimensional pattern while reducing the number of components and processing waste. It is the first application of the technology within Stellantis.
A new ambient lighting treatment uses a geometric pattern inspired by sails. Aluminum sports pedals and an aluminum kick plate complete the dedicated interior treatment.
Technology includes a 10.25 inch Alfa Connect touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a 12.3 inch customizable Cannocchiale digital instrument display. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and massage are also standard.
Three Powertrains Cover The Tonale Range
The Luna Rossa treatment is available across the Tonale powertrain range. At the top sits the Plug In Hybrid Q4, combining a 270 hp 1.3 litre four cylinder engine, six speed automatic transmission and Q4 all wheel drive.
A 175 hp 1.5 litre four cylinder Hybrid uses a seven speed TCT automatic, while the 130 hp 1.6 litre four cylinder Diesel comes with a six speed TCT.
Pricing and individual European launch dates are not stated. What is confirmed is its position at the top of the Tonale range, using the Luna Rossa connection primarily through materials, color, equipment and detailing rather than fundamental changes to the SUV itself.
