The 2027 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Luna Rossa brings the Italian brand's America's Cup partnership to its SUV with carbon fiber, dark wheels and a cabin mixing leather with recycled ECONYL fabric. It joins Junior, Tonale and Giulia in the Edizione Luna Rossa range revealed in Napoli ahead of the second Preliminary Regatta for the 2027 America's Cup.
Alfa Romeo says the series will progressively reach European markets and sit at the top of each model's range.
Carbon Fiber Changes The Stelvio's Details
Unlike Junior and Tonale, which rely heavily on Gloss Black trim and sailing graphics, Stelvio shares its treatment with the Giulia. Carbon fiber is the recurring material.
The front badge is finished in carbon fiber, while the mirror caps use the same material and carry specific Luna Rossa logos. Dedicated red Alfa Romeo emblems provide a small but noticeable color contrast.
The exterior palette is deliberately limited. White comes as standard, with black and Etna red offered as optional colors.
Dark 21 Inch Wheels Fill The Arches
Stelvio receives specifically designed 21 inch dark alloy wheels, two inches larger than the 19 inch wheels specified for Giulia Luna Rossa. Red brake calipers sit behind them.
There are no changes to the Stelvio's dimensions or basic proportions detailed in the release. The special edition instead uses its wheel finish, carbon components and restricted color palette to separate itself from other versions of the SUV.
ECONYL Meets Leather And Carbon Inside
The cabin continues the monochrome theme but introduces carefully placed Luna Rossa references. A liner runs across the seats, while the upholstery combines leather with 100 percent recycled ECONYL fabric. The nylon used for the material is partly obtained from fishing nets recovered from the seabed.
Leather covers the dashboard and door panels. Carbon fiber then appears across the dashboard, center console and doors, carrying the exterior material theme into the cabin.
A dedicated red Alfa Romeo logo is fitted to the steering wheel, and Luna Rossa graphics appear on the dashboard. Harman Kardon audio and electronically controlled suspension are standard. An electric sunroof is available as an option on Stelvio.
Two Diesels And A 280 HP Petrol
The Stelvio Luna Rossa uses the same engine selection described for the Giulia edition. The 2.2 litre turbodiesel comes with either 160 hp or 210 hp, both paired with an eight speed automatic transmission.
The 160 hp version is rear wheel drive, while the 210 hp model uses Alfa Romeo's Q4 all wheel drive system. A 280 hp 2.0 litre GME petrol engine is offered in the UK and non European regions.
Pricing and detailed market launch dates have not been announced in the supplied material. The Stelvio Luna Rossa instead arrives as the SUV member of Alfa Romeo's new sailing themed range, concentrating its changes on materials, trim, equipment and visual detailing rather than a separate high performance powertrain.
