2026 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV LK
By Lorenzo Bianchi October 22, 2026
The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV LK combines the new range-topping Laurin & Klement specification with an upgraded plug-in hybrid delivering 200 kW (272 PS), an increase of 50 kW over the previous version.
A 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine producing 130 kW works with an 85 kW electric motor. The 25.7 kWh battery offers 19.7 kWh of usable capacity and supports DC charging at up to 50 kW.
Laurin & Klement equipment includes massage seats, silver roof rails, body-coloured bumpers and side sills, exclusive alloy wheels and dedicated badges.
Skoda Kodiaq Gains Laurin and Klement Trim
Škoda has added a Laurin & Klement trim and a stronger plug-in hybrid to the second-generation Kodiaq range. Announced on October 22, 2026, the changes give the large SUV a new comfort-focused specification and raise available plug-in hybrid output to 200 kW.
The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV LK brings those two developments together: Škoda confirms that the new Laurin & Klement specification can be ordered with the higher-output hybrid. It has not, however, identified 2026 as a separate model-year designation.
Silver Roof Rails and Exclusive Alloy Wheels
The new Laurin & Klement version is recognisable through silver roof rails, body-coloured front and rear bumpers and matching side sills. It also receives alloy wheels developed specifically for this trim and Laurin & Klement badges on the exterior.
The press images show the familiar Kodiaq SUV silhouette, with a long roof and substantial rear passenger area. The changes are concentrated on exterior trim rather than newly announced bodywork or dimensions.
Neither the wheel diameter nor revised measurements for length, width or wheelbase are specified in the release. The Kodiaq's second generation was first revealed in October 2023 and incorporates elements of Škoda's Modern Solid styling language.
Massage Seats and Laurin and Klement Interior Details
The clearest cabin upgrade is the inclusion of seats with a massage function. A released interior photograph shows Laurin & Klement branding embossed on a light-coloured seat headrest, reinforcing the trim's focus on materials and identification.
Škoda also notes that the current-generation Kodiaq features its multifunctional Smart Dials. However, the latest announcement does not identify additional screens, new infotainment functions or a revised seating layout for the Laurin & Klement version.
Plug In Hybrid Output Increases to 200 kW
The upgraded plug-in hybrid develops a combined 200 kW, or 50 kW more than the previously available 150 kW system. It uses a 1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder petrol engine producing 130 kW alongside an 85 kW electric motor.
Škoda attributes the additional power to combustion-engine improvements and revised powertrain-control software. A 25.7 kWh battery, with 19.7 kWh of usable capacity, supplies the electric drive. DC charging is supported at up to 50 kW.
The earlier 150 kW Kodiaq iV was credited with an electric range exceeding 100 kilometres. Škoda has not supplied a separate range figure, acceleration time or fuel-consumption rating for this new 200 kW version.
DC Charging Supports Longer Journeys
As a plug-in hybrid, the Kodiaq retains the option of electric travel as part of its family-SUV brief. The 50 kW DC charging capability is intended to support recharging during longer journeys, although the release does not give a charging-time estimate.
The announcement comes as Kodiaq reaches ten years since its original unveiling in Berlin in September 2016. Across two generations, the model has attracted approximately 1.2 million customers in 70 markets.
The Laurin & Klement model sits at the top of the Kodiaq range, while the 200 kW powertrain represents a separate technical upgrade also available with that trim.
