2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992 ll UK Version

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • 711 PS hybrid powertrain makes it the most powerful production 911 yet.

  • 0–62 mph in 2.5 seconds with improved Nürburgring performance.

  • Cabriolet keeps everyday usability while adding open-air driving.

The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet evolves a familiar formula

The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992 II doesn’t try to reinvent the 911. It builds on what’s already there and pushes it further. More power, more speed, and a bit more polish in how everything comes together.

It remains the open-top version of Porsche’s top-tier 911. The kind of car meant to do everything—fast road driving, long-distance cruising, even the occasional track day—just with the roof down.

A wider, more purposeful look

At a glance, it’s still unmistakably a 911. The proportions haven’t changed much, but the details have. The body sits wider than Carrera models, with more presence over the rear axle.

Air intakes in the rear sections and a reshaped rear fascia make the back end feel busier, but also more planted. There’s a clear focus on airflow now. Active cooling flaps at the front and a variable rear wing work together, adjusting depending on speed and conditions.

The Cabriolet doesn’t lose any of that intent. If anything, the open roof adds a bit more theatre to what’s already a very visual car.

Interior keeps things familiar but sharper

Inside, the changes are more about detail than layout. Porsche sticks with its driver-focused cabin, but adds new materials and subtle accents specific to the Turbo S.

Turbonite finishes appear across the cabin, along with updated trim options and sport seats with memory function. The Cabriolet keeps its 2+2 layout, so it still works as a usable daily, at least by sports car standards.

It’s not trying to be futuristic. It just refines what’s already there, which feels intentional.

Hybrid power adds speed without changing character

The biggest change sits under the rear deck. The new T-Hybrid system pairs a 3.6-litre boxer engine with two electrically assisted turbochargers and a compact battery.

Output climbs to 711 PS, making this the most powerful production 911 so far. Torque reaches 800 Nm, delivered across a broad rev range.

Performance figures follow naturally. The sprint to 62 mph takes 2.5 seconds, and the car reaches 124 mph in 8.4 seconds. Top speed is quoted at 200 mph.

Despite the added hybrid components, weight only increases slightly. On track, the gains are clear. Development testing at the Nürburgring saw the new model lap roughly 14 seconds quicker than before.

Chassis and brakes tuned for control

Porsche has adjusted the chassis to match the added performance. The Turbo S now uses an electro-hydraulic system to manage body control, reducing roll and keeping the car stable under load.

Larger ceramic discs and revised pads improve stopping performance, especially under repeated use. The setup is designed to handle the extra speed without compromising feel.

Still built to be driven every day

What stands out is how much of the original Turbo S idea remains intact. It’s still quick enough for a circuit, but comfortable enough for longer drives.

The Cabriolet adds another layer to that. Roof down, it’s a different experience altogether, though the underlying character stays consistent.

In a segment where rivals often lean heavily toward either performance or comfort, the 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992 II continues to sit somewhere in between.
