2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992 ll
By Lorenzo Bianchi September 8, 2025
The 911 Turbo S gains a T-Hybrid system, producing 701 hp with zero turbo lag and a peak torque of 590 lb-ft.
Acceleration climbs to 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds and top speed is 200 mph, with a Nürburgring laptime of 7:03.92—14 seconds quicker than the prior Turbo S.
It adds hybrid tech yet remains daily-friendly, available in coupe or cabriolet, 2-seater standard with optional rear seats, and starts at $272,650 (Coupe).
Electrified Power for a New Turbo Era
The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S (992.2) marks a shift into electrified performance. The centerpiece is Porsche’s new T-Hybrid system: a 3.6-L twin-turbo flat-six augmented with two electric turbochargers. The result is 701 hp—a 61-hp gain over the outgoing model—and 590 lb-ft of torque delivered from 2,300 to 6,000 rpm, producing instant response with no turbo lag.
That boost packs real punch. Porsche quotes 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds, trimming two-tenths off the previous Turbo S. The sprint to 124 mph (200 km/h) takes 8.4 seconds, half a second quicker. Top speed reaches 200 mph—numbers befitting the most powerful 911 ever.
Track Performance and Precision Enhancements
The Turbo S’s Nürburgring lap of 7:03.92 is a breakthrough—14 seconds off the previous record set by its predecessor . Despite a 180-pound (about 85 kg) weight gain from hybrid components, Porsche insists the car feels sharper and more agile.
To handle the power, Porsche fitted wider rear tires (325/30-21 vs previous size), upgraded Ceramic Composite Brakes with larger rear discs (410 mm vs 390 mm), and active aerodynamics including front diffuser flaps and an adjustable rear wing. The Porche Dynamic Chassis Control reduces body roll markedly.
Visual Refinements and Interior Details
The 992.2 body remains instantly recognizable as a 911—but there are updates. It features vertical front air intakes reminiscent of the GTS, expanded side vents, a revised rear bumper, and a broader, aggressive rear wing.
Inside, the Turbo S comes standard as a two-seater coupe, though rear seats are available at no extra cost. Convertible buyers get a 2+2 layout by default. Interior accents are finished in Turbonite, Porsche’s signature top-tier trim finish. Front and rear luggage space remains, maintaining practicality.
The 2026 Turbo S broadens the definition of performance driving. It promises the same daily usability as its predecessor—“elegant, road-useable, fastest 911 you can drive,” as Porsche puts it—while dramatically elevating pace and precision.
Buyers can select between coupe or cabriolet, with starting price at $272,650 for the coupe and $286,650 for the cabriolet. Deliveries are expected to begin spring 2026.
