A GT3 that tells a cultural story
Most Sonderwunsch projects begin with a customer's personal vision. This one started with a country.
The 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Tree of Life was commissioned to mark Porsche Moldova's fifteenth anniversary and developed together with Style Porsche and the Sonderwunsch team in Zuffenhausen.
That symbol is the Tree of Life, a motif associated with continuity, growth, and heritage. Porsche used it as the foundation for nearly every visual element of the car, creating what feels less like a special edition and more like a rolling piece of automotive artwork.
Paintwork that changes as the eye moves
The first thing that stands out is the color.
Viewed from the front, the GT3 Touring appears in Violapurplemetallic. Move toward the rear and the finish gradually transforms into Chromaflair Magic Magenta. Porsche says the concept was inspired by the ripening stages of grapes, a nod to Moldova's long-established wine culture.
Creating that transition was anything but straightforward.
The gradient extends across the bodywork and continues onto the 20- and 21-inch magnesium wheels, which wear matching shades to maintain visual continuity. Across the hood and roof sits a hand-painted Tree of Life graphic finished in Neodyme Porsche Gold. The combination of the multi-layer paint process and the intricate artwork demanded roughly 400 hours of work.
There's also a subtle detail hidden in plain sight. The letter "M" has been precisely etched into the front grille structure as a quiet reference to Moldova.
Traditional influences inside the cabin
The cultural references continue once the doors open.
Leather finished in Lila is paired with Ruby Star Neo accents and Atacama Beige contrast stitching. The cabin avoids feeling overly ornate despite the rich color palette, largely because Porsche keeps the design consistent throughout the interior.
Traditional Moldovan craftsmanship provided much of the inspiration. A modern interpretation of Porsche's classic Pasha pattern appears on the seat centers, door panels, glove compartment, and luggage area. The pattern references traditional folk costume design while still feeling appropriate inside a contemporary GT3.
Paldao wood details add another layer to the story. The manual gear lever receives a wood-finished knob, while the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus feature decorative wood inlays integrated into the rear shells.
A showcase for Porsche's most ambitious personalization
The Tree of Life car is officially described as an inspiration vehicle for Porsche's Sonderwunsch program, which allows clients to move well beyond the limits of a standard configurator. Colors, graphics, materials, and even technical concepts can be developed specifically for individual projects.
The car made its public debut at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chișinău, where it will remain on display before later moving to Porsche Centre Moldova.
What makes this GT3 memorable isn't the performance. That part was already taken care of by the 911 GT3 Touring itself. Instead, it's the way Porsche used a familiar sports car as a canvas to tell a story that stretches far beyond the road.
