2025 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring 992 ll UK Version
By Lorenzo Bianchi July 23, 2025
The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring revives the flat-six character with 502 hp and a 9,000 rpm redline
The Touring package refines aerodynamics and adds rear seats—no wing, retractable spoiler
Available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed PDK, it balances analog feel and modern performance.
Sharpened Design, Classic Silhouette
The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring keeps that iconic rear-engine coupe shape but brings sharper intent. The front splitter and diffuser have been reshaped for more downforce. New Matrix Design LED headlights crisp up the fascia. On top, the Touring drops the fixed wing in favor of a sleeker, retracting rear spoiler with a Gurney flap—cleaner lines but serious trail performance.
It sits on 255/35 ZR20 front and 315/30 ZR21 rear tires—same as the full GT3—and those teardrop-shaped suspension trailing arms aren’t just looks. They reduce pitching under braking and increase airflow to the brakes. A mechanical detail with real impact.
Heartbeat: High-Revving Flat-Six
Under the deck is that screaming 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer, redlining at 9,000 rpm and delivering 502 hp (same as standard GT3). Torque sits at 331 lb-ft. It’s raw, analog, and exclusive. Porsche retained the wooly six-speed GT Sport manual gearbox for purists—and added a shorter-throw lever from the 911 S/T. Prefer auto? A new 7-speed PDK is optional, with shorter gear ratios and faster shifts.
Lighter, More Focused, But Livable
Porsche trimmed weight in smart ways. Touring gets aluminum wheels that shave 3.3 lb from unsprung mass. Add the Lightweight Package and you get carbon-fiber anti-roll bars, magnesium wheels, and even a lithium-ion battery. Touring also adds rear seats—unexpected, but handy for day-to-day flexibility.
Inside, the shift lever sits under your hand naturally. The cabin stays driver-first, even when Porsche added a fully digital instrument panel. No flashy HUDs—just key track info and a rev counter that you notice right away.
On-Track or Around Town
With PDK and Sport Chrono, 0–62 mph hits in 3.4 seconds; manual nudges about 3.9 seconds. Top speed? Around 194 mph. Brakes are track temperatures ready—ventilated discs all around. That, combined with improved trailing geometry and aerodynamic tweaks, gives the GT3 Touring better control through mid-corner bumps and under heavy braking.
How It Stacks Up
This GT3 Touring lives in a unique lane. Comparable sports cars like the BMW M4 CSL or Ferrari Roma might be powerful, but none rev to 9,000 rpm or offer both manual and PDK with such a focused, race-derived setup. And for EV fans eyeing hybrids, this car is a reminder that some thrill is still analog—no motors or batteries, just raw flat-six fun.
