A More Focused GT3 for Track-Day Regulars
The updated Manthey Kit for the 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) arrives as an answer to owners who treat the Nordschleife and circuit days as routine. Porsche and Manthey Racing have re-engineered the GT3’s aerodynamics, suspension, and braking hardware to exceed the limits of the factory Weissach Package, creating the sharpest GT3 configuration yet. The car’s Nürburgring time — 6:52.981 minutes, despite damp conditions — illustrates the effectiveness of the overhaul.
Major Aerodynamic Overhaul with 540 kg Downforce
The GT3’s aero package sees the most dramatic transformation. Porsche has reshaped the entire underbody into a continuous aerodynamic surface, extending the turning vanes from 0.5 m to 1.5 m and closing the luggage compartment floor for a smoother flow profile. The front lip grows by 12 mm, aided by new diffuser fins and side flaps, building stronger front-axle stability.
The wing expands and takes on a Gurney flap with bigger, inward-curved endplates at the back. A modified diffuser with longer fins underneath increases downforce without adding drag.Even the rear wheels receive carbon-fiber aerodiscs to tidy up airflow. The result: 355 kg of downforce at 285 km/h in road mode, and 540 kg in circuit mode — all without increasing drag.
Suspension and Brake Hardware Tuned for Circuit Loads
Porsche and Manthey developed a bespoke four-way coilover suspension, adjustable without tools. Spring rates increase by 10% at the front, the damping setup is retuned for kerb stability and high-speed precision, and the car gains mechanical grip that matches the heightened aero loads.
Lightweight forged wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) are optional, cutting 6 kg of unsprung mass. Braided steel brake lines come standard, while PCCB-specific racing pads are available for more consistent pedal feel under repeated heavy braking.
A Lap Time Backed by Testing, Not Theory
Porsche’s official Nürburgring run was completed by reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven, who noted the car’s increased controllability and stability even in less-than-ideal weather. Manthey Racing intends to attempt another lap in 2026 to demonstrate full potential once conditions improve.
Availability and Warranty
The Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 (992.2) will be sold through Porsche Centres worldwide starting March 2026, and importantly, the factory warranty remains fully intact when the kit is installed by authorized dealers.
