2026 Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport 992 ll

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Only 100 examples will be offered across Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.

  • Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur gives the GT3 Touring based model unique Alpine inspired colors, badges and cabin details.

  • A front axle lift, 90 liter fuel tank and Lightweight Package support its mountain road focus.

The 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is a regional special edition with a very specific reference point. Rather than looking to one historic racing car, Porsche has used the Alpine landscape and its early hill climb history to reshape the appearance of the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package.

Just 100 examples will be produced for Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. Its public premiere takes place at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland, where the car will run the 7.3 kilometer course with its 76 corners and 422 meters of elevation change.

Valleygreenmetallic Sets the Bergsport Apart

The most obvious change is the paint. Valleygreenmetallic was developed specifically for the Bergsport through Porsche's Paint to Sample Plus program. Gold metallic particles sit within the deep green finish, giving the body a noticeably different appearance as the light changes.

Page one of Porsche's release shows the car in profile against an Alpine backdrop, where the dark green body contrasts with pale wheel finishes and orange brake calipers.

There are smaller references throughout. Tinted HD Matrix LED headlights are joined by a chequered flag graphic on the front luggage compartment lid, inspired by the Porsche 908 Bergspyder. A GT3 Bergsport badge appears on the B pillar, while the engine cover carries a circular emblem depicting four Alpine peaks for the four markets receiving the car.

Lightweight Hardware Meets Touring Usability

The Bergsport uses the Lightweight Package, but with forged aluminum wheels replacing the package's usual magnesium items. They combine satin White Gold and Ceramica finishes around orange brake calipers.

A front axle lift should make steep ramps and uneven roads easier to negotiate, while a 90 liter fuel tank extends the distance between stops on longer drives.

Porsche does not provide separate Bergsport engine output or performance figures in the supplied release. Mechanically, it is described as using the technical basis of the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package.

Alpine Colors Continue Inside

The cabin carries the exterior theme without substantially changing the GT3 Touring layout. Folding carbon fiber bucket seats use bespoke Valleygreen leather, but the Bergsport also retains a rear seat system.

Orange stitching appears across the cabin, accompanied by embroidered GT3 headrest lettering and matching details on the starter switch, accelerator pedal, steering wheel marker and manual gear lever. Black and white cross stitching across the doors and dashboard forms stylized mountain peaks.

BOSE surround sound and the Light Design Package are included, adding some touring comfort to a car still centered on the GT3's driver focused character.

For Porsche, the Bergsport sits somewhere between a regional market edition and an Exclusive Manufaktur showcase. There is no attempt to turn the GT3 into a retro tribute. Instead, its colors, materials and equipment connect the current Touring model with the mountain roads that played an early role in Porsche's development.
