The 2026 Omoda 4 has been confirmed for Australia, giving the expanding Omoda Jaecoo operation another compact SUV to place into one of the country's most competitive parts of the market.
Omoda Jaecoo Australia announced the model alongside the larger Omoda 7 on September 11, 2026. Both are due to make a local public appearance at Everything Electric Sydney from September 18 to 20 before reaching Australian showrooms during the first half of 2027.
Compact SUV Targets Younger Australian Buyers
The Omoda 4 will sit below the brand's larger models and is specifically described as a compact SUV aimed at a younger generation of Australian customers. The Omoda 7, meanwhile, occupies the mid-size SUV category, while the Omoda 9 sits further up the range.
Omoda describes design as an important part of the new model's positioning, although the Australian announcement does not provide detailed information about its headlights, grille, body dimensions, wheel sizes or aerodynamic features.
