The 2027 MINI Countryman Untamed Edition takes the largest MINI further away from paved roads, adding functional chassis changes alongside a more rugged exterior treatment. Petrol, diesel and electric versions are planned, although availability varies between markets.
Depending on location, the range will include Countryman C, Countryman D and Countryman S ALL4 models, plus the electric Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4.
Dark Steel Details Give Countryman A Tougher Look
The changes start at the front, where the familiar Countryman grille receives vertically arranged geometry and angular inserts. Its surround is finished in Dark Steel, a treatment repeated on the MINI emblems, Countryman lettering and underbody protection.
MINI has also redesigned the side sills, front and rear underbody protection and rear diffuser. Textured matt black protective films cover the wheel arches, side sills and Power Dome, helping shield the paint from stone chips.
Five exterior colours are offered, including Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue and Frozen Nomad Blue. The latter is MINI's first matt exterior paint introduced into series production.
Suspension Lift Adds Ground Clearance
The Untamed Edition is more than an appearance package. A 15 mm suspension lift increases ground clearance by up to 19 mm, depending on powertrain and market, while the approach and breakover angles have been revised.
New 19 inch Untamed Edition Spoke wheels take inspiration from traditional off road steel wheels. They are paired with specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres.
ABS, stability control and steering have been recalibrated around the altered suspension and tyre package. Intelligent ALL4 all wheel drive is also available, depending on the selected Countryman version.
Outdoor Theme Continues Inside
The cabin carries its own edition specific treatment. Vescin Nightshade Blue sports seats combine perforated upholstery with knitted shoulder and headrest sections inspired by rock formations. Cornflower Blue piping and stitching provide contrast.
Dark Steel replaces the usual Vibrant Silver interior accents, while knitted dashboard and door surfaces use MINI's Millennial Melange finish.
There are practical changes too. The redesigned centre console storage box uses elastic retaining straps inspired by outdoor equipment, while rubber floor and luggage compartment mats are fitted.
Petrol Diesel And Electric Versions Planned
MINI has not introduced an Untamed specific powertrain. Instead, the package is offered across several existing Countryman variants in selected markets.
The electric Countryman E has a quoted WLTP range of 454 to 500 km, while the Countryman SE ALL4 covers 391 to 467 km. Technical figures remain preliminary.
An optional tow bar permits up to 2,000 kg of towing capacity. Roof capacity reaches 75 kg while driving and 300 kg when stationary, supporting the AUTOHOME roof tent developed specifically for the vehicle.
